it's that loose slide stop. but not loose perse but the pin not protruding that much and don't stop/lock the slide stop firmly.
thanks for the replies.
didn't notice anything in the cases.
i haven't got time to visit the range but earlier i tried loading 16 ammo and all in battery but im pointing downwards as im not in the range to point it horizontally.
now im curious if downward direction have relevance.
i guess it should be mm than cm.
no step up at the muzzle
Tuner not so sure if i got your instruction to the letter...here goes..
slide off and the only thing different from the normal slide install config is there's no spring/spring plug/guide rod.
bushing and barrel in the normal battery...
lead reload. slowly to battery seems smooth and no hanging up but while racking i feel this spring touching something this happens with the chrome spring plug (by the way, what's with the small hole near the front) but no such feeling with the spring plug stock.
it's stripping a round from the mag and feeding but not fully returned/in battery. (forgot the exact term). it leaves 5-10cm gap. this happens every 10-15 rounds.
what exactly could be the culprit? this does not happened before until i changed several things :(
changes
1. very tight bushing...
thanks thanks a lot for another very informative replies. i learned a lot so much about on critical things (strangely) than with those guys in the range and gunsmiths that believes so much on things that are counter productive in real life and death situation. maybe because they are so engrossed...
too bad as this 2.7 lbs trigger really changed for the good my range.
withstanding pulling the trigger, in the event of hammer follow and manual safety compromised, the half-cock notch should catch the hammer. am i right?
if yes, then is it safe to assume that 2.7lbs trigger is also safe with...
now that got me scared. there's no alteration before. all he just did was that fast hammer movement. quite fast that i didn't notice what's going on. then afterwards i just measured it with the resulting 2.7 lbs pull.
as i said your comment got me scared. i guess he can bring it back to heavier...
i just realized that the correct way of getting the msh pin is pushing it left to right...pushing the hollow end of the pin.
will pushing it incorrectly will break that retainer?
may i join this discussion...a gunsmith tried to lower the trigger pull but all i noticed was he just keep moving the hammer up and down.. the hammer strut is upwards and the msh is not in placed. what was that?
i unintentionally disassembled the sear and disconnector :banghead: . i already tried the basic safety test and everything seems working fine but is there a specific test to verify if i indeed put it back correctly?
mpro 7 copper works though it's min. of 30mins. and if there's still traces i redo it again.
after getting it squeaky clean i haven't use it again. my routine now is mpro7 cleaner and mpro7 clp.
with the mpro7 cleaner , letting it sit for 30mins with really lots of fouling don't do the trick.i...
i went to the range for a few rounds without pushing it back and see if it will move out further . fortunately didn't move further out.
i remember now that this started when months ago i tried disassembling the hammer part and i have to move down the msh a bit so i have to take off that msh...
