I will, she has other interests right now. Married in October, became pregnant in Feb. Our first grandchild. I have a very nice S&W model 10 that is a good shooter I've always liked. Maybe its for her.
I asked my two sons which of my pistols they would like to have. The youngest one wanted the Kimber 1911. The older one wanted the S&W Model 19. I gave them away for their birthdays this year. They are going to get them someday anyway. I liked both of them, especially the revolver. I...
MN river rat; I hear you, the only thing that can't be undone is one of the shelves was turned into the floor board for the butts to rest on. everything else can be reversed easily. Another piece of my mothers furniture was a kitchen hutch, similar to a Hoosier hutch that I turned into my...
Security is an issue. Its an old cabinet, if somebody wants in, they'll get in. I'm going to cable all the guns into the cabinet. On the other side of security, I have three big dogs that roam the house freely. All three have deep barks that make you think twice.
It is a really old cabinet and the back panels were pretty much junk. I took quarter inch birch plywood and make new panels. Wired led puck lights in the top and made a floor plate out of one of the shelves. Matching the stain of a early last century cabinet wasn't easy but I got close.
I...
My wife never did like my mothers china cabinet so I asked her if I could make a gun cabinet out of it, she said yes and the following is what I came up with.
Same as above, 4.0gr 700x works well in 9mm for me. I don't load 40 cal so I can't say but I'd refer you to hodgdons site. The one rcmodel pasted in for a reference on both calibers.
This is a S&W Model 10 38 Spcl I picked up last week along with another pic of the Model 19 357Mag I got this week. Not a bad 10 day run for the revolvers.
I'm surprised to hear about how 700x doesn't meter will. I've not had any problems with that. Shoots pretty clean, and pretty accurate w/ a 200g lead bullet.
the gun(s) are a Security Six and a Police Service Six.
I only ask because my 9mm is broke and off to the manuf for a fix. I have lots and lots of .356 125g lead cone MBC bullets setting on the shelf.
I may as well load up a dozen or so and see how bad the leading gets on a dozen...
48.5 g of RL17 gets me 3106 fps, average of 5 rounds using a NOS 115g BT
49g of RL17 gets the same fps over 5 rounds with a NOS 120g Partition.
Accuracy of both rounds is about 1.5-2 inch groups at 100 yds.
48.g and 49.0g are near or at max. No signs of over pressure, but I didn't feel...
Has anybody loaded the MO 125g lead cone bullets in 38 spcl?
My 38 spcl lead bullets from MO bullet measure .357 and the 9mm are .356. Is that enough to really make a difference and can you substitute them for 38 spcl.
Just wondering if anybody has done this.
