    Happy 10FP Owner!! (Pic intensive)

Falconeer: No problem. I'll see what I can do regarding the pictures. Gotta find a good pic hosting place first.

    Happy 10FP Owner!! (Pic intensive)

Did not get the chace to take it out to the range this weekend, but did attempt to put the action/barrel into it. I like the construction of it, seems well made, and has a decent looking recoil pad on it. The review of the stock over on Sniper's Hide mentioned: Knowing this going in, I...

    Happy 10FP Owner!! (Pic intensive)

The stock I ordered at the end of April arrived via UPS yesterday evening, 25 May. I believe I ordered it on 24 April. So a little over 4 weeks to get it.

    Happy 10FP Owner!! (Pic intensive)

For what it's worth, I ordered one of those from Lock, Stock, & Barrel at the end of April. I was quoted 6-8 weeks for delivery for the standard black stock.

    Colt AR-15 A2...

Bit high in my opinion. I've snagged 2 Colt H-Bar match A2's for around or under $850 each in the past couple of years. I agree with the other posters, shop around a bit.

    Buffalo Creek Gun Club, Colorado

I'm not a member of BCGC, but I did attend some of thier High Power classes about 2 years ago. The range is a beautiful rifle range. Very well built and maintained. They seem to have a very busy schedule during the summer weekends with matches and stuff. I had considered joining them a...

CCW Belt & Mag carrier - Suggestions?

Some friends and I came across a belt made by Filson at one of the local outerwear stores. Great leather belt, sturdy (this one's a double thickness), and holds my 5" 1911 in a Sparks VM-II just fine.

Comments on Colt Target Match .223?

I've got two of them and love them both.

    High Noon Holsters

I've got one of their pocket holsters for my 3" 1911's. It's decent enough, no complaints. Chatted with them briefly on the phone before I ordered it up, good folks. For my IWB, though, I've gone with Sparks VM-II.

Cocked and locked here as well. Versa Max-II for my 5" models, High Noon pocket holser for my 3" when the occasion requires it.

    rifle scope

The Super Sniper scope over at SWFA seems to get adequate reviews. They run around $299 - $399. Looking at picking one of them up for myself in the next month or so.

While it's not a high ride, I prefer the Milt Sparks VM-II.

Grats! Welcome to the hobby. Nice job on the test.

    Ham Radio

Ham Radio is, in my opinion, still a very viable and enjoyable hobby (I have an Extra Class license). There are several very active clubs in my area, as well as extremely active emergency communications groups. I really enjoy the hobby, but am starting to complain that my involvement in it...

How hard is it to remove the swinging link on a 1911 barrel?

I hope it's not as I have a Series 70 that does the same thing. Haven't seen any issues with it, but then I'm far from being an expert. Hopefully someone with more knowledge will be able to answer this.

    Sparks IWB Holster Opinions?

Another vote here for the VM-II. My full size 1911's ride in them beautifully.

Should I trade my spare Xbox for one of these rifles?

I've never had a rifle give me the BSOD. I have done that with an Xbox (just while playing a game, the box was not modded). Rifle or microsoft product...I choose the rifle when possible.

    cwp holsters

Another vote for Sparks. I've got 2 5" 1911's and they ride in a Sparks VM-II. Got one for each pistol and love the holster. Very comfortable, they spread the weight out along the pant/belt line, easy to conceal, just to name some of the nice features.

    college cops armed?

The one in the Springs is the campus I went to. I agree, I don't belive they're commissioned by the state, but they are viewed/considered to be full LEOs, just like the city and county officers.
