    Mainline media supporting concealed carry?

Upon reading the article you'll find this MSNBC "reporter" does far more to advance the cause of gun grabbers and the Brady people than that of CC and 2nd amendment advocates. Just the "packing heat" nonsense in the title makes his position pretty clear. Why not write that Americans are "taking...

    Convicted felons owning guns

The Founders made it pretty clear. They would deny weapons to criminals, the mentally deficient and traitors. Of course, DC is filled with all three.

    where to buy ammo online?

You might try Georgia Arms. Like many, many others I was having one heck of a time finding .45LC rounds. I use cowboy loads in an 1858 New Army Conversion. Georgia Arms delivers 100 rounds from Atlanta for $63.00. (Brand new ammo, of course) I can't tell you about other ammo prices, but check...

    Next Snubbie?

I've had a 5 shot S&W .38 Airweight for nearly 50 years. They are great weapons and tremendous CC guns. Not rated for +P ammo, but it doesn't really matter. A fine, straight shooting pistol.

    Pachmayr Grips For A Rem

One thing about a good BP cap and ball or cartridge pistol...they are heavy. But that's a great feel and makes even big load recoils seem almost like .22s compared with lighter weapons and hi-test smokeless rounds.

    Another range report.

Just moved here a couple of years ago and I finally found a range last year. So far I'm the only black powder shooter I've seen on the pistol side. I've fired my Great Plains on the rifle area on 2 or 3 occasions and have not seen a BP shooter there either. This is north-central Kentucky!!! I...

What's Your Favorite C&B Revolver Pattern?

I like the 1851 in the posted picture. Also really like the 1858 Army...the Remington style w/top strap.

    New 1872 Open Top

Uberti provides a slew of caliber choices for their pistols. I've pretty much settled on .45 LC, just to stick with one type of ammo.

3 inch revolvers - I admit I am sick and powerless to control my weakness

I understand. My addiction is to 7-8" barrel, SA revolvers. Someone in God's "birthing department" clearly screwed up. I should have been born about 165 years ago.

    Cleaning BP revolvers

Hoppe's 9 and a whole lot of cleaning patches always work for me. I've also taken to using a Winchester product called Break Free Powder Blast. It doesn't take the place of much of the work, but as an aerosol spray, it lets you get some of the tight spots where patches and rags just won't reach.

is this BP revolver from Cabelas worth $150?

I bought the brass frame 1851 for the $119 sale price last year and it has worked very well. More than a few rounds have been fired with about a 20 grain load. The gun is accurate--once you learn how it likes to be sighted--and has never caused a problem.

Decided on 2nd model Dragoon, now where to buy?

1st, 2nd and 3rd model dragoons are $350 from the Possible Shop. $375 for the Walker.

I want to get into BP shooting, a couple ideas...

If you're looking for "cheap", you can buy a decent flintlock pistol for $300-$400. That beats the $700-$1000 for a pretty good rifle. Cabela's offers a flintlock Hawken KIT in the high $300s or a Kentucky rifle for around $500. But the people here who are telling you that "cheap" and...

Hear Ye! AussieTH's Revolvers - One Time Auction!

Don't know the people involved but he certainly put together some nice pieces. Surely this is what Heaven looks like...a 500,000 sq ft gun store with plenty of Colts and a golf course just outside.

Front End View of 45 Colt in Action

Good God.....50 years of LIBERALISM and POLITICAL CORRECTNESS have turned us into a society of whiners, hyper-sensitive pi$$ ants and "oh I just can't bear it" limp-wrists. Get a grip! Go to a lib love-in, hold hands and weep if you must, but don't infest EVERY friggin' web site in the nation...

Sorry to open this can of worms, but for home defense, why not a pump with 18" barrel? 5 or 6 rounds beat the heck out of two.

Adjustable Powder Measure vs. Flask Spout

I'd sure go with the measure value. Tresso makes good, quality spouts, but I look at any of them as conveniences more than actual measures. Naturally they come in all sizes so you might want to go with the one that throws the best.

New to black powder pistols, which one to buy

Uberti makes a nice weapon. You'll find the Walker for $375.00 at the Possible Shop, along with everything else a BP shooter will need, except the powder. That's at Powder Inc, if, like me, no one in your area sells real BP. Pyrodex is everywhere, of course. I've ordered from both outfits.
