I'll have to pick a length and go with that. In my search i read of a reloader that chucks the cutter and pin in their drill press and uses the table as their stop. Just hold the case and lower the quill, no shell holder or lock nut. Works pretty good and consistent. How about different depth...
I have all the required pieces (lock stud, shell holders cutter) to trim .223 and other calibers i have. My question was the package and web site state trims to 1.730 to 1.760 lengths. How do you adjust to these various lengths? Need additional pieces? deadeye.
Sorry don't know what I did there. Anyway looks like trim the gauge to desired length or get creative with some sort of spacer in the shell holder/lock nut maybe. Thanks for your reply. deadeye.
I bought a Lee case length gauge and shell holder for .223 to trim cases to a uniform length in case I start to crimp. Anyway the package and web site state Trim to length 1.730 to 1.760..
When I screw the length gauge into the cutter and it bottoms out so where is the adjustment at?
Do you file...
I received two letters and a e-mail about the FTC thing. I Replyed by phone and e-mail to let the order stand until product is available. The e-mail was yesterday and my acct said ship date of may 1. This AM SPG withdrew funds for the order and ship date went to day of order (12-24-12). Checked...
I have a PSL and a M-38. I've been told not to shoot heavy ball in the PSL as it will bend the firing pin. Where do you draw the line on heavy vs light? Seems that most surplus is 147 gr and the most popular is 174 gr. Thanks in advance. deadeye.
What I meant to say was going to the LGS to ask questions. From what I read this AM FTF with another MN resident is OK. Across state lines and the fact that the lower was transfered to me as a OTHER could change things. deadeye
Please move this if it's not in the right forum. I want to sell a complete, assembled lower that has been transfered to me. Can I sell it FTF or do I have to go thru a FFL? If not a FFL any paperwork that has to be filed local or state to CYA. Thanks in advance. deadeye
Question from a not so knowledgeable AR noob. Will this 62 gr shoot OK in my PSA 16 inch carbine 1 in 7 twist or should ! go heavier? I have been shooting rem .223 55 gr. Thanks in advance. deadeye
How about Nikon Buckmaster? They have some 4x12 to4x16 side focus. I have a 6x18x40SF on a .223 and like it better than my Monarch. Granted it's set up for long range paper not hunting.
Just thought I'd throw a link in of a thread I started to to show Mustang 51 what his mounts are for.
