    depends on how good you are with a blade, imo i skinned out a little doe, FOR TAXIDERMY, with my KA-BAR, and she came out fine. i use my KA-BAR more than any other knife out there. but, whatever your good with, as long as its sharp, will do the job

    people (taxidermist) who do that piss me off... taxidermy is about re-creating the LIVE animal as it was when it was ALIVE... putting a rack on a doe is anatomically incorrect, horridly incorrect. i refer to 'those' taxidermist as 'hack-a-dermist' texas gun person, i shot a little 50(ish) pound...

    use non-iodized salt. NOT table salt. WASCO sells snake tan beginner kits. or take it to your taxidermist and he will take care of it ;)

    LOL i believe the heaviest one was trapped and clocked in at 216. i know quite a few taxidermist and trappers who come across 200lb wolves about once a year

    sounds a little contradictory to me. you want clean, 'ethical' kills... but it does not matter what happens to a groundhog, its not big enough to worry about. WTH? or am i missing something?
