What kind of terrain / game you going to hunt. Max shot distance . Field ? Thick woods. ? All those would effect my decision .

I did a little more surfing and the screw pattern / shape matches a Iver Johnson model 3 but there are no Iver Johnson markings at all. Maybe they made it for someone as a S&W look alike .Some of the owls head grips are the same shape as this one .

If your P3at has a 12 lb trigger you might want to have it checked . The P11/40 only have a 8.5 pull and thats heavy .My P32 , p3at and PF9 are all much lighter than that. Probably around 6.
