    Long term gun storage

If I remember correctly, that performed the best in the Brownell's test. I know it did extremely well.

    1911 chucking brass@my head

Look at your brass. I will bet that the mouth of all of them that hit you in the face have a small v shape dent. The brass is most likely hitting the ejection port and being diverted upward. This can be corrected in a couple of ways. One is to have the ejection port lowered, another is to have...

AR15 Pistols. Run down and info.

I have 2, both Rock River. 1 is a 7" bbl, the other a 10" and both work flawlessly. I have heard of cycling problems with other brands and with home builds, but almost all seem to be related to buffer tube issues. Rock River uses standard CAR tubes and springs. My AR pistols are both the least...

    Long term gun storage

Brownells did a corrosion prevention test a few years ago. Several products were tested. Boeshield T9, a wax based bicycle chain lube did extremely well.

    Duty to retreat...why?

In South Dakota you have no duty to retreat from anywhere, even outside your home if you are there lawfully. Your second statement is golden. People should take some comfort from the Castle Doctrine hopefully being there to protect them in the event they absolutely, positively, no way...

How do some gun shops stay in business?

The OP's description of the shop owner's attitude reminds of the "Soup Nazi" episode of Seinfeld. NO PARTS FOR YOU! :D

Ocoee Man Fires Back During Home Invasion

Yep. Gun control is based the belief that a 100lb woman has a constitutional right to fend off a 250lb rapist with her bare hands.

Isn't what a disgrace? New Jersey, or the fact that the gun can't be shipped there? :D

Thanks for the tip! I'll check that on mine and see if it makes a difference.

    keltec P32 not ejecting manually?

I believe he is describing the same thing mine does. It is extracting but the OAL of the FMJ rounds is just ever so slightly longer than the ejection port and the round gets wedged in. He says:

    keltec P32 not ejecting manually?

It isn't empties that get stuck, its loaded fmj ammo when trying to remove the cambered round.

    keltec P32 not ejecting manually?

Mine does that too. The easiest solution I've found is to drop the mag and replace the top round with an empty case, reinsert the mag and then eject the round.

    686 finish question

It is not like paint. It is a chemical process. You will probably find that it is not as wear resistant as blued carbon steel though. I believe Smith & Wesson called the "Black Magic"

    How should I proceed?

That we can certainly agree on.

Because there are never multiple attackers.

What killings? Whose father was shot? From the article:

Cops confiscate firearms anticipating guy might go postal.

This is a tough call. Based on information they had they hauled him off and confiscated his guns. If they had done nothing despite the information they had and the guy went and murdered several people the cops would be getting crucified in a whole other discussion for not preventing it when they...

    How should I proceed?

This isn't about what I think. I think 2A means exactly what it says. The person that the OP was debating apparently thinks otherwise. If, as you said "The majority in Heller soundly rejected many of your friend's arguments, and you simply need to use the findings and holdings in Heller to...

    How should I proceed?

Substitute a few words in the 2A: A well educated electorate, being necessary for the security of a free state, the right of the people to keep and read literature shall not be infringed. Have him read that and ask him if that would mean that only those who are over 18 and registered to...

The smallest pistol I would trust would be the biggest one available to me at the moment I needed it.
