You could get yourself one of the Colt Python Elites that were rereleased a few years ago. Other than that an older pre lock S&W.. otherwise nothing comes close.
I've got that scratch on mine. I believe it is caused when you have ammunition in the cylinder, then you open the cylinder and spin it or move it and the ammunition rubs against that piece. I of course could be wrong but, it doesn't bother me much.
Why would there be a risk of a lawsuit? It does not alter the gun in anyway. It has nothing to do with carrying the gun safely. It is NOT a gun safety like say a 1911's grip safety. Its basically to lock it so no kids can get it and shoot themselves or someone else. I don't think a bad guy is...
Basically in IDPA they want everyone to use service/defense powered ammo.. not light target ammunition.
In SSP, ESP, and SSR the minimum powerfactor is 125,000. In CDP (45acp only) and ESR the minimum powerfactor is 165,000.
Power Factor = Bullet Velocity (in feet per second) multiplied...
I've been thinking of getting into IDPA revolver as well. I've found the legal speedloaders that everyone uses and a legal speedload pouch as well. Safariland makes the Comp III Speedloader and Blade-tech makes the pouch.
I'm still stuck on what holster to use. I love Comptac's paddle and...
I actually read in some sort of Gun magazine that the R8 and TRR8 were designed specifically for the Shield Holder in a Swat squad. The reason being that the person had to hold their pistol in front of the shield and the slide can and would most times slap back into the shield causing feeding...
Its always funny when someone comes onto a forum and says "oo I sold my ONLY revolver, or I sold my Toyota truck or whatever. Like you want us to feel sorry for you that you sold it but, in reality your just bragging about your Kahr pistols. While they are a nice firearm I don't really care to...
Rusty, I would have to say that you WOULD be right if at the range or something BUT, if you ever have to pull the little pocket pistol out of your pants and your adrenaline is through the roof, your nervous, your on edge.. do you think you could remember to toggle that TINY little switch onthe...
I bought a pair of CT 405(boot grip) laser grips for my S&W M&P 340 and the grip is actually thinner and maybe a touch smaller than the Hogue boot grip that came on it. I carry mine in front pocket with a DeSantis Nemesis
Picked up a new M&P 340 on Monday and put 15rds of 38 LRN through it and 5rds of my carry ammo (speer gold dot short barrel 357mag). I managed to get 13/15 shots in a chest sized piece of plywood at 30 feet while standing. Great little gun and recoil wasn't bad at all. The CT 405's helped...
Right now here in Mississippi its starting to get around 90 degrees with 85% humidity. For this reason I have opted to carry a M&P 340 with CT 405's in a DeSantis Nemesis. The whole package holster, revolver, 5rds of 357 135gr Gold Dot Short Barrel is no more than 1 pound for everything...
My gunstore has one in stock.. but they've been waiting on ammunition for it for over 3 weeks. Kinda hard to sell a gun without having even one box to sell with it.
