Sorry if this has been covered before.
A member would like to buy a (T/C NW explorer) blackpowder rifle from me. OR shipped to WA. Are there any restrictions on this?
Searching numerous websites has confused things even more so. Some say WA has a new law, Cabelas will evidently only ship to WA...
If one studies WW-2 Soviet history, you'll see they had it pretty rough (major understatement) for a while and needed a simple yet effective rifle that could be mass produced and would be tougher than the winters in which it fought. Since the model was a proven design they produced them by the...
+1 on ReloaderFred's comment about Scharch. Good brass and usually in stock for 10mm. They did have some processed 10mm for a good price, but not sure if they have anymore. You can call them and check - (719)539-7242
Battman, welcome to the forum. As capreppy said, there are a lot of us LnL AP users here that can give you ton's of advice.
Looks like your going to be shooting that "little snubbie" a lot more often
My Weatherby Vanguard likes 22gr RL-10 and 55gr Nosler Ballistic Tip or 55gr Midway dogtown bullets the best.
H-335, H-322, Varget, RL-15, 4895, 748 all worked quite well, but not quite as good or consistent as RL-10 at least for my trigger finger and rifle.

1. No more dangerous than walking out to pick up the mail..... so long as all safety rules and loading by a published manual are followed. When a person loads outside these simple parameters bad things can happen.
If you read on a message board someones load data, take it with a grain of...
gpwelding1 - Nice job!
I remember years ago when I started flying, my instructor would ask a question on how would I do this or do that.... The only acceptable answer was.... BY THE BOOK..... Handloading is no different.
Nice to hear that your such an authority on the subject Rhino. When a die I pay for cost's you anything, then you can say it's a waste of money. Maybe.
I've used a GR-x die on 1000's of pcs of 10mm & 40 S&W brass and will continue to do so.
10mm and Longshot are made for each other. Very accurate with 180gr MG JHP or XTP's & meters great.
800x and AA #9 are also good choices for 10mm, but I still prefer LS.
Longshot with AA#9 coming in a close second. 800x is also great, but as ljnowell mentioned, it meters poorly.
All of these with 155gr or 180gr XTP's are very accurate.
There are so many powders that perform well in .223. In my Weatherby Vanguard 1-12" I've had good luck with -
W-748
BLC-2
H-335
H-322
RL-10
RL-15
Varget
I usually load 55gr Nosler BT's, Hornady V-max and Midway's DogTown bullets and all the powders listed above with all bullets shown are...
Hornady 7th Edition does show AA# 9 at 14.9gr max for 180 XTP's. It's not the first time a bullet mfg and powder mfg data are different. I've loaded #9 at close to Hornady's max and saw no signs of pressure. YMMV.
My preferred powder for 10mm is Longshot.
Others may feel differently, but even if I didn't save a dime handloading, I would still do it simply because I enjoy loading my own ammo.
But since I do save money, especially on several calibers, it's a hobby that pays..... And there is not too many of those.
