If you don’t own a dedicated 44 special revolver there’s no need to buy more rare and often more expensive 44 special brass. Just load 44 special loads in mag brass if that’s what you want. Feeding will typically be better with the longer case and you don’t have to sort brass.
Just wanted to present a recent test I did for my YouTube channel, as of posting this here the video has not yet aired on the channel so the only way to view it will be with the link below.
I think the results may be a bit surprising as they were to me. I expected some change in performance but...
I sure hate to see him pass, think there's any chance we may now start seeing changes coming from glock outside of just generational changes? Maybe a PCC? Can we petition them for a G36 size 10mm? I know once Bill Ruger passed, there were significant changes with what ruger started doing...
Glock 29 without question. Nothing 10mm cant do in regards to a handgun, small enough to conceal easily, can have 15 rounds on tap if needed, can be downloaded to pleasant plinking ammo, loaded hot for any type of defense you would need. 10mm = best millimeter
I called them trying to buy spare springs for my 3913, they would not let me purchase them, sent them free of charge even when I said I just wanted them for backups later down the road.
So wasn’t sure whether to put this in hand loading or here in autoloaders, chose here because I think this type of loading has the ability to become an underwood or buffalo bore type offering in the future.
Seems like the factory loadings are a bit under powered. What do you all think?
I have several videos gel testing 38 loads, so far the best for lots of expansion with sub optimal penetration (8-9”) is hst micro. Best for smaller expansion and sufficient penetration (within fbi standard of 12-18”) Hornady 110g+p ftx. The only one that gives both consistently… buffalo bore...
I may be in the minority here, but if your defensive shooting case is hinging on the name of your gun, or if you’re carrying reloads, or if you have a punisher skull, or if you googled “what will a bullet do to a human” in 2012, then your defensive shooting case is probably not a clear cut...
Don’t worry, a fudd will be along shortly to comment on this satire post, “doesn’t matter what you shoot, if you can’t hit what you’re aiming at it don’t matter”. Always that guy when discussing anything ballistics, serious or satire.
Depends on the scenario…
A suspicious sound or something unknown I’m going to have to go cautiously check out for peace of mind, my handgun that I carried that day and laid on my nightstand.
An obvious and abrupt home invasion, I’m reaching past the handgun on the nightstand and grabbing my...
If it’s in battery my guess is a case that’s over sized or has a bulged shoulder, seen this when using standard crimping dies instead of collet crimp dies quite a bit
