    Thinking about trying IDPA

You don't need to be a great or even a good marksman to shoot IDPA, but you do need to know and demonstrate excellent safe handgun handling skills. You need to be able to safely holster and draw from concealment and always maintain a safe muzzle direction while moving in various directions and...

How Do You Decide What to Train For?

Two things first: 1. I know it's the 21st century and the age of the internet and all, but reading books is still a great way to learn. 2. Don't assume my low post count is indicative of my knowledge and experience. OP, I recommend you get the below linked book and read it...

    IDPA - So Confused.

I like shooting IDPA; it's a fun game. Some folks take it way too seriously though and don't think this video is funny. They need to lighten up! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CGgVY6Ref4I

Who here has a CCW but primarily uses it to carry in car or truck only?

I live in Virginia. You currently need a concealed permit to carry concealed in the car. Also, a concealed permit allows you to purchase more than one handgun per month. I don't carry on my person very often as I'm frequently going into federal buildings.
