147 grain 147 grain aka Steve Porter has been posting on this board since 2005. Go back and look at his earlier posts and see if for one minute you believe his 30 years of firearms training and his 23 year LE career. I did and I dont. Steve you are having problems yet again on another...

S&W 649-1 Bodyguard: broken hammer stud!

649 My 649 had the same exact issue. I sent it into Smith and when it came back they had polished it up and beveled the cylinder edges. Runs perfectly now.

    Graffunder Price

Graffunder Use CB900F. I purchased a B7248 from him and saved big bucks. I had the safe shipped from Graffunder to the local Yellow Freight terminal. A local safe company then went out and delivered and bolted it down for me. I paid 300 bucks roughly two years ago for this delivery/boltdown. I...

    Electronic Safe lock issue? (LaGard)

LaGard I still own a Cannon safe and the LaGard keypad failed on mine. Cannon replaced it free of charge. One of the numbers failed to function. If it is the keypad Cannon can refer you to someone in your area and it wont cost you a thing.

    Liberty Gun Safes

Realize in both sizes that the capacity stated is 30-40% off. Expect 7 or so in the smaller and 13-14 in the larger. If possible since the 5517 is closet size stick one upstairs in a closet and the other down stairs. Yes bolting is needed. If the safe can be moved in it can just as easily be...

    Look'n for a gun safe.

Amsec Vs Lincoln The Amsec has an inner steel liner of 16g also so the total metal thickness of the body is greater. In between the two layers of steel is an injected concrete composite. The concrete composite offers increased protection from cutting/chopping thru the walls and door as well as...

    Need a gun safe!

safe I would say to think long and hard about where you think your gun collection will end up and what other items you intend to secure. I started with small closet size Cannons and every couple of years sold it and bought a bigger and I felt better unit. After a few years I realized that the...

Buying another new safe, Fort Knox, Liberty or ?

safe Peter be sure and email CB900F. I priced Graffunders at another dealer and CB900F was much lower in price and a local safe mover can pickup at a freight terminal and do the install/bolt down. I saved a lot of $$$. The price ended up being very close to the Ft Knox Titan.

Buying another new safe, Fort Knox, Liberty or ?

safe I was recently in the same boat. I realized finally that for the value of my collection I needed a true safe. I purchased a Graffunder B7248 from CB900F and had it installed by a local safe mover. CB900F gave me a great price and shipping to S California was reasonable. You will never...

    Liberty Gun Safes

BF Like I said built as it has been for the last couple of years it is still a great safe and much stronger than most out there. I would rank it not too far below my Graffunder which was a heck of a lot more money.

    Liberty Gun Safes

Amsec Not to start an arguement but since I have been helping a friend in purchasing a new safe I called Amsec yesterday and asked about any changes to the BF series. They told me there were none. When I asked the thickness of the body I was again told 11g outer with a 16g inner. They went onto...

    sights for gp100 3"

night sight Tool Tech in Michigan is the installer for Trijicon and can drill out the front sight and insert a tritium tube.....call them for the current price. Innovative weaponry will also do it but I must warn you that I have never had any of their tritium sights last more than a year. They...

    Look'n for a gun safe.

Amsec BF series is the best bet and you should be easily able to get what you want size wise in your price range.

    Liberty Gun Safes

safe The Amsec BF is a better bet. It has a 1/2 inch plate door and the dry light fire insulation. The BF series is in my opnion the best "safe" out there for RSC's. For the 300 buck difference you are getting a unit that is stronger and has an injected concrete mixture that offers both heat...

    Centurion safe by Liberty

safes I dont see anything on the Liberty site to indicate American made so not sure. I do know that most people feel Cannon is American made but if you go to their website you will see they only list American made for two of their series and dont mention a word about where its made on the...

    S&G keypad safe failure

keypad I had a LaGard keypad fail so on my new Graffunder I went to a manual S&G. One thing I have learned though is at the first sign of trouble with either an electronic or manual lock call a locksmith and if at all possible dont lock the safe. That way no drilling involved to repair or...

    Safes with keypad lock

Keypad Well I am one of the minority who has had a LaGard keypad break. This is something that a1abdj has warned about. The keypad failed while the door was locked closed so it simply involved changing the keypad. It did keep me from opening the safe for a couple of days until I got the...
