You could use a thin piece of film sheet. Paint it black and held in place by the grip. I did this on a Browning 1922 to hold a pin in that I didn’t want to peen in place.
N/star & crest are Belgium proof marks and FN manufacture tag... The frame mark is again inspector proof mark by FN.. The T a s referencing the series of Browning Hi Power
I have a Uberti Cattleman and mine has a bushing.. It was loose and I had it testacked as I stated earlier in this post.. To say they don’t is misleading.. perhaps different years were manufactured differently.
I bought mine used also and rounds were dragging badly.. Then it fell out leaving a crater just like your pic.. Luckily I had a gunsmith strong in cowboy shooting and he pressed it back in and peened it.. Been shooting it fine for years now.. Just saying
You are missing the firing pin bushing..If you look at the photo at 1:00 the is a peen mark where it should hold the bushing.. The bushings get pushed out from dry firing with out a snap cap..Find a gunsmith with single action revolver experience.
These are not intended for none factory service.. My screws are even torx style.. My cylinder locked up and had it been a standard Smith would have been a snap..As is I had to send it in.
Had similar issues..The surgery left me going from left eye dominance to right.. I can see at moderate distances well, but was left using glasses for night driving and reading glasses for close up.. With out glasses I can really see my sights.. Target is blurry as it should for target work...

You did the old plob test in the chamber, but not for every round.. Note I'll be honest.. I don't own a Ruger ( Royal pain to clean) I'm a Browning man.. And for the last year a Smith Victory...
You ar not seating your primers properly.. They should be just hair below the case in the seat.. If you can't seat them that they way, your primer seats are dirty.
Be Safe
Anybody here want to get shot with one?... I think not!..Look at Hatcher's forensic Medicine.. It's an old book but there are all kinds of great photos of these and other anemic old cartriges, like 25, 32 Colt.!22s and holes they made in these poor souls that got shot..Most died with one or two...
Sorry so many of you seem to have issues with this model. I bought one when they first came out..Mine with all factory parts will shoot 2 inch groups at 25 yards from a rest.. I retired it as soon as I heard thAt they only produce a few hundred before jumping to the series 80.. Purchased a...
A lot of folks are stashing them away rather than risk confiscation, in my opinion.
The act of going door to door will suck up such man power that I doubt it'll happen in my life time, but who really knows? The cost alone will be crazy and I suspect there will eventually be lawyers and lawsuits...
