Selling a bad gun with a clean conscience

As others have said. Sell it with full disclosure. Someone may fancy their chances at fixing it and be happy to take it of your hands and tinker with it. I did this recently with a shotgun, the previous owner hadnt figured the issue out, i spotted it in minutes and now have a nice cheap...

Foreign Gun Owners(outside US members)...Show your stuff...

The clamp looking thing on the magazine tube? Thats for the bayonet :D Its a Mossberg 590 :) I took it out to shoot some sporting clays the other day and even without a bead site I was doing pretty good with it. As long as it was relatively close targets (its cylinder bore)

Lanber if you want new. You would be better off trying to find an old second hand Miroku or something like that.

    Punt gun

Came accross a vid of one on youtube... now I want one!! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=n7FeeamC4qk Thats one crazy shotgun. I was reading up on them a bit. Apparently they used to mount them on small boats and use them to take large groups of ducks sitting on the water in one go. They...

    Now this is just sad

This is so stupid its not even funny :( The country I live in ruining a shooting sport because of health and safety issues. i dont even know what to say :( Surely professional Pentathletes are going to refuse to comete in what is essentially a completely different even than what they have been...

Man shot with .22, doesn't notice for five years.

I read the full story of this on BBC news. It said that they had been at a new years eve party and someone was shooting into the air. The bullet came back down and lodged in his head. He was not actually 'shot' as such.

    Shotgun Question

You mean just pull the trigger once and then fire only by pumping? I don't think there is a shotgun out there that works that way. A trigger pull is needed to drop the hammer.

People with guns who never shoot?

Over here in the UK, they will take your guns off you if you arent using them. Ammo purchases are tracked so if you havent bought any ammo for a year for a particular firearm, the police can say you don't have a 'need' for the guns so you can't have them. Gun clubs require a minimum attendance...

    need some input

I'm not legally allowed to let my GF (who lives with me) know where the keys to the gun safe is. Under UK law, I have a license, because she does not and they have not done the required background checks etc on her, she is not allowed to have access to them. It sort of makes sense I guess...

    Chokes for Clay games

You have to be a very good shot if you shoot full all the time. Most of the top shots will do this. If I did that, I'm not sure I would hit anything at all :/

Where do most of your shooting $$$ go?

This is an interesting poll. What I am seeing is that a lot of people are more into guns than they are shooting. I didnt realise it was so common to buy guns and stock up on ammo one time to keep it all for emergency. I always thought you buy a gun, then you go enjoy it whether that be hunting...

Where do most of your shooting $$$ go?

I would think most people spend the most on ammo. I certainly do. No good buying guns if you don't shoot them. After all, that is how we get good with our chosen tool. The more you put downrange, the better you get :)

    Shotgun newbie: Remington 1100 ?

I recently picked up one of these cheaply. Mine is 26 inch barrel fixed to IC choke. I have put 500+ 7 1/2 shot clay loads through it and it has ran pretty well. It was made in 1994 but still functions great.

5 Stand - Tips, Tricks, Recommendations

I would say that is a good score for a first try. 5 stand can be very challenging and if you are not used to more 'professional grade' throwers the speed the clays come out at can be surprising. The hardest part is just getting on the birds as quickly as possible. The quicker you are on the...

So my girlfriend likes pretty guns

Mine has no problem with guns, shes always liked shooting air rifles so I took her to shoot shotgun for the first time the other day. I had high hopes that she would enjoy it and it would become something we could do together. We went to the sporting clays ground, I showed her how my remi 1100...

Fun Discussion: Outfit the Continental Army

Knowing very little about this war I decided to do some reading. We were never taught about it in school in any depth. I found this article very interesting: http://www.bbc.co.uk/history/british/empire_seapower/rebels_redcoats_01.shtml It is written from a very British point of view. I am...
