The poor sales are in part due to the unpleasant review they received early on and there was a trigger group issue with early 887's. Plus the fact they are competing with their own legendary 870 series. Then there is the polymer issue, similar to the grief Glock received all those years...

3.5" is still 3.5". The recoil pad helps a lot, but its still noticeable. Is it better than the 870??? For me it felt better. YMMV
