It sh*ts where it eats making it a PITA to clean. That's why I went with a gas piston setup on one of my carbines, and plan on converting more of them.
Magazines are also a weak point. Dents or bent feed lips put them OOS real quick.

Not many AR15s will be fired nearly as much as a military rifle.

I'm a firefighter. Interiors stairs are the best means of egress in a fire. If the fire is on the first floor blocking your egress, stay upstairs, close all upstairs doors, and move near a window. Solid wood interior doors can slow down the spread of fire.
