40 S&W 165gr Remington BJHP pushed by 7.6gr Power Pistol with WSP primers. Velocity is 1150 FPS. I loaded a thousand in March of 2012 and am down to my last 50-60. I live in Texas and replace (shoot) my magazines empty a few times a year because of the heat/humidity we have here. Carry gun...

I like the Dagger a lot but, trigger is longer than any of my Glocks and without the definite 'wall' before it breaks. My Dagger came with a PSA AK GF3....quite an accessory!
I put an extended mag release on my G27 and it really did make mag changes easier.....then I shot it....OUCH! 2 magazines in and I was done. That extended mag release cut into my left (support) hand. Out came the extended mag release and in went the original. Some upgrades aren't.
PSA DAGGER compact and a 'We The People' OWB holster
If Holosun comes out with a FDE 507C x2 I'll add that to the kit. Only 150 rounds through the Dagger so far, but I am warming up to it.
Ks5shooter has a nice Glock 27....I do not, but this one has been carried everyday for over 8 years and occasionally before that. I had the barrel and slide NP3 coated a few years back, but even that isn't holding up to the Texas heat and humidity. Pants on, gun on!
Bought it in 1995, added the mount about 5 years later, have replaced a few springs and the priming system, but otherwise is as I bought it. Load for 40 S&W, 9mm, 357mag/38 special, 44mag/44 special on it.
I'll be behind a 1954 built Remington Wingmaster 870 16 gauge like always! Wondering how our drought will affect the fly through traffic I get. Yeah, pretty excited!!
There isn't a hole in the jacket because there isn't a jacket, this only happens with plated bullets!
I suspect most people have never fired plated bullets at a target less than 1 foot away. I hadn't in 35 years of shooting. Why would you? I ask that before you poo-poo this, shoot a...
You shouldn't notice any difference between brands of primers seating on the Dillon Square Deal B press. I use one and have loaded thousands of each of the brands listed, but I do stand when I load to get full leverage, especially on the primer seat 'press' of the handle.
The grey residue is not any of these things because it NEVER happens with jacketed bullets that I have fired at close range, only plated. I fired the shots with the same gun consecutively on the same day without any cleaning. Best I can figure is a little of the plating is scraping off...
Maybe we are saying the same thing.....the first pic are 2 shots of jacketed 9mm FMJ into a cardboard box at a distance of 1 foot.
The next pic is a plated 9mm FMJ fired into cardboard at a distance of 1 foot.
These are both factory ammo. I repeated this test with 40S&W reloads and have...
Ummm, is this right? I find that any plated bullet leaves that grey residue on targets shot close up (a foot or two). My experience is all with pistol bullets, but the grey residue is not an indication of bullet failure, just what plated bullets do because the plating comes off a little while...
I've not ever cast lead, but I do reload about 3K rounds a year (so I'd say I am a casual reloader). I've only shot at indoor ranges a few dozen times and most were modern well ventilated. I was tested for lead last year as a result of a previous discussion on THR. I tested very low at 1...
I've been on the receiving end of something similar to what you describe, my best friend while in the service almost shot me coming into his room to get him to go drinking.
I don't keep a gun in my bedroom. I have 3 large dogs in the house and 3 donkeys outside, would be really tough to...
