    Brady ranking reflects freedom, inversely

Oregon sucks in regards to making folks pay the $10-$20 to the State Police for each transaction of firearm purchase, where most states use the free federal insta-check. Not very free to have a state gun data base, nor a good reason. Sorta like not being able to pump your own gas:rolleyes:

Repeal the 1986 machine gun ban!

Most Class 3 dealers are in it for their Personal toy collection and sell the minimum sales to retain a license. The ATF knows this and thats why they check in on them. Class 3 dealers arent generally known for great customer service:rolleyes:

    NRA worthless?

I think theres more need to give the NRA cash when all the stubborn GOPers vote in Romney than a need to give during Obama. Either way, if the 2nd cant stand aon its own then as I said we are all screwed. NRA isnt that vital.

    Brady ranking reflects freedom, inversely

I just paid a visit to the bradycampaign.org site and I learned Arizona, Utah and Alaska are the freest states in regards to firearms as Brady scored them a "0". No suprise California topped the list as Brady's star pupil with an "80". Most states from the heartland to the western mountain...

Repeal the 1986 machine gun ban!

Like mentioned, your biggest foes are often the guy standing next to you smiling with his HK MP5 he paid $10,000+. He doesnt want you to get the same toy for the more realistic price of $1,000. This is very true of most class 3 dealers.:(

    NRA worthless?

Taking the "highroad" excessively can lead one to be a stooge or unrealistic fool. The NRA needs to moderate the shakedown process of gathering funds. Its does no good to rally folks with redmeat when all is well on the homefront. It does a huge disservice when the time comes we really need...

    NRA worthless?

Like the ACLU, I get bombarded by e-mail or regular mail by these two D.C. based special interests ALWAYS asking for money. When I was young and dumb I use to give to the NRA, especially when Clinton was occupying the Whitehouse, but when they still cried wolf when Bush was Prez I figured they...

Move from CA to Oregon--still celebrating

Oregon isnt so great for gun ownership if you value privacy:(. Instead of using the free federal insta-check like most states, Oregon requires you to pay an additional $10 per transaction to the State Police to keep track of what you buy:what: It may be more now as when I last heard they were...

How to make silencers legal in "no" progressive states

What does one need to do to make silencers legal in states like California, Massachusetts, Iowa, Illionis and Minnesota that dont allow ownership or the freedom to own a simple piece of aluminum that quiets their firearms? Shall we demand car mufflers be banned too in order to show the...

    Gransfors Bruks Axes from Sweden

silvanus, that looks easy to throw the double bit downward into that stump:D. I havent tried throwing my double bit yet. Does your edge get chipped up easily if you miss and hit the ground when throwing?

    40 s&w

40s are marginal in accuracy. Just because most cops carry it doesnt mean its superior. 45 cartridge is better. 40s bridge the gap well, but are just too hot, snappy and inaccurate if your a good shooter. I've never handled a 40 that can out shoot a comparable 9mm and definitely not the...

CLEO Signoff Going Away per ATF?

 Your crazy if you think the goverment will ever make it easier for their citizens to aquire an item that is so regulated to the point in which are silencers. As of late the Atf has been cracking down and tightening up on trusts cuz the local LE probably petitioned the ATF as a Trust...

    Gransfors Bruks Axes from Sweden

Ya, I love them too:D I have 5 of the GB axes. Mini, Kubben/Hand Hatchet which is the newest and smallest, Hunter, Scandi Forest and the awesome Double bit felling.throwing axe. Gransfors Bruks put all other axes to shame. Unfortunately the art is long lost as most folks just settle on a...

    Pimp my Slingshot!

a real sling is far more effective. two 3 foot nylon cords with a leather eliptical shaped cradle that holds your rock, just like what David used to topple Goliath. Its so light and compact you'll forget its in your pocket. Will toss a stone much further than your rubber :D

Idaho snubs Federal law, am I reading this right?

Not sure if on equal grounds but why in the heck is marijuana basically legal in many western states and that Oregon allows death by doctor? Arent these allowances treading on Federal laws?

    Suppressor Sources

they If you want a silencer that actually reflects its namesake then dont even consider centerfire rifle cans ie .223 & .308. They generally start at $1,000 and arent quiet at all. The quietest you'll ever get a .223 is like a hi-velocity 22 rimfire report. Not bad, but not quiet. Ammo must...

Glock vs. Sig 9mm Sound Signature

124 grain stays subsonic for me on my 4" threaded barrel Glock 26 with Osprey 45 can. 115 grain is right around the barrier, but mostly over and cracks. 147 and if you can find 158 grain are quiet but spendy. My Sig P220 doesnt need a booster as Sigs cycle easier than Glocks. I can shoot my...

Taurus PT145 No Longer Approved in CA - Wake Up Taurus!

Doug, I bet your an awesome guy and its unfortunate you live in a state that doesnt grant you the freedoms you deserve, but I'm not gonna be light hearted about Cali. I sincerely despise their laws & politics. I love what the state offers on the nature front.:D My backpack adventure across the...

Glock vs. Sig 9mm Sound Signature

my Glock 30 is quieter than my Sig 220 through my Osprey. I didnt see that coming. Glocks have a longer time for lock-up so more gases are forced into the silencer than out the ejection port like an easier cycling pistol like Sig.
