It was announced in yesterdays Portland newspaper that Sportsman Warehouse sold all its stores in Idaho, Washington, Oregon (except Medford), and Western Montana to a Canadian company. They also stated they will no longer honor Sportsman gift cards. I had $100.00 worth of there cards, and I'll...
There is a very safe club member range that is very near you. Do a google search for "Clark Rifles". The range is open to non members on Sundays. I've been a member for several years. There is a pistol range and two rifle ranges. The cost is $15.00 per non member per day.
I don't have an AR yet but I'm getting serious now. I came across the Model '1' Sales web site the other day. Has anyone out there tried these kits? Are they any good, or should I walk away from considering one of these? Money is not a big issue, but I don't want to waste it either. Your...
I don't own a Glock. I do eventually want to get a G20 though. Many shooters of the Glock G20 replace the barrel with one that is manufactured to higher tolerances. They do this for several reasons. Better support of the cartridge in the chamber, and better accuracy are the major reasons. One of...
I'm do what "donkee" does. When I get back from the range I usually only have 200 to 300 rounds to decap. I like clean primer pockets, and decapping insures me that I won't need to brush each pocket. Many pistol reloaders do not clean pockets, but I feel it's very important for rifle reloaders.
I have the CZ75 Retro, and its one of my favorites. The only problem is the hammer bites me every time I fire it. I've tried using a glove, different grips, changing my hand grip. After last weekend I've pretty much decided to bob the hammer.
If you don't have a 10mm yet, I would suggest the the Witness to start off with. It's very affordable, then if you fall for the round get something different to experimate with.
Gunfan, I also live in Vancouver. I've been doing lots of reading on those forums, though I haven't participated. I'm looking forward to getting another 10, but I've been waiting till after the "Shot Show" to see if anyone introduces new models. I'd been hoping CZ would come out with a 97 frame...
He must be talking about bullets being a little cheaper. Sometimes you can find brass at gun shows for a good deal. I bought mine at 1000 new, because I didn't want to take a chance with the so called once fired brass and having to cull the Glock brass.
I recently bought a 10mm Witness at a gun store in the Clackamas area called "Gunbroker", theres also one in the Beaverton area. Mine cost me $347.00 NIB. They did have to order it in as they only had 45's and 40's in stock. If you buy on line it will cost you at least that much for shipping and...
I use the LNL bushings in my RCBS rockchucker. So far I've got them set up on 3 different pistol calibers. Sure make changes a snap with virtually no set up time.
Hammer bite is not always a pinching of the skin, but it can occur if you have a high grip on the pistol. As the slide comes back in recoil the hammer can poke the flesh between your thumb and index finger. If there are any sharp edges on the hammer it can break the skin after repeated firing...
Cz75
Don't forget to try the CZ75. It's very affordable and a natural pointer. They can be had new for less than $400.00 new. They also have mags for up to 16 rounds in th 9mm.
