its a peacemaker not a thunderer
$600 is pretty low but the action is pretty messed up.
Also could a person even find 41 colt ammo or reloading components?
It's $600 now and half cock doesn't engage anymore
I guess the constant spinning ,clicking and fanning is wearing this thing out
are they inherently weak guns or is just because it's over 100 years old?
Its $800, 41 long colt and dates to 1894
Grips are a brown color now
20% original finish
Antique st0ore owner was always clicking and fanning it
Trigger pull was fine before
If I can fix it I'll buy it
Its at an antique shop
Three weeks ago I handled it and trigger pull was decent, I went back and now its hair trigger
I'm wondering what can be done or undone?
Anybody work on these ?
I'm interested in knowing if there are any tips or tricks to doing this yourself?
Id say the one I'd like to make heavier has about a half a pound pull on it.
Definitely not fun or safe.
I have opportunity to pick up a 1st generation Peacemaker in great shape but its trigger pull is about half a pound.
Is there a quick and simple way to fix it?
It seems to have a brand new replacement trigger.
