    Lee micro disk

I did buy a couple of the adjustable bars and agree. Not worth the plastic they are made of. I have tried many times to set it up and it just doesn't work. Maybe a different powder but I like the powder in my selection. I will check and see what I have in ball powers and see if they will work...

    Lee micro disk

I just found out that Lee has discontinued the micro disk some time ago. I have been searching around and no one has any left. Have some of you folks figured how to bypass this problem? I love that accessory and can't figure out why they did away with it. I thought about plugging a spare disk...

    .380 loads

I have over 10 thousand 9mm lrn at 124 grain .355 diameter. I am wanting to load these to fire in my .380. The largest listings I have in my 4 manuals are up to 115 grain in lead. Is it possible to do so safetly? I was thinking maybe 2.5-3.0 grain of 231 or Power Pistol. I know you guys will...

    Flair for the bullet

I built 5 bullets with success but I ruined 2 shells trying to slowly start the bullet and I must not have had the bullet lined up perfectly and the shells buckled. My FMJ 55 gr bullets are .002 larger than the hole in the end of the case. Guess I will have to purchase a flairing die. Thanks for...

    Flair for the bullet

I just started to reload .223. I bought a Lee die set with a sizer die, seating die and factory crimp die. When it comes to seating the bullet what flairs the case so I can get the bullet started. I have read these instructions 10 times looking for an answer and I find nothing. John

    Finally scored a Taurus 738

That is the pistol I purchased to start my ccw class 5 yrs ago. It was going to be just a temp. fire arm till I figured out what I really wanted. I have grown to love that little thing and it is almost always in my pocket. Nothing fancy but reliable as all get out. I have given 4 as gifts...

    Uberti 1873 cattleman revolver

Hot loads I don't think I will ever want to push the powder up go with max loads. Just comparing this Uberti with my Ruger SP101 4" in ..357 mag the Ruger doesn't Carry the mass as the Uberti. I know the Uberti is a larger caliber but is massive compared to the .375 mag. I do reload and most...

1873 Cattleman This is what I picked out. Little confused, the box says Stoeger 0469 Cattleman Birdshead OM. (old model or black powder frame) Im not understanding what they are trying to tell me. They sure don't explain much.I guess they expect you to know before you buy. Maybe someone here...

    Uberti 1873 cattleman revolver

Thank you all, fantastic information. This thread has given me the confidence to try it. I do use Trail Boss and Unique. Both powders have been successful for me. When I first looked into this my lgs sold me Hodgdon Pyrodex type P muzzleloading propellant. It states it is FFFG equivalent. By the...

    Uberti 1873 cattleman revolver

StrawHat, do you use any kind of wadding between the bullet and the powder? Is there any kind of converted measure for the powder such as grains or do you just fill case with a dipper? measuring powder is the reason I haven't tried it yet. Can you suggest a book with details I could purchase...

    Uberti 1873 cattleman revolver

I have been looking at these revolvers and would really like to have one. Info is slim on their website as far as loadings go. Would it be possible to load some bullets for deer hunting that the single action would handle? Hoping to purchase anyone of the models they have in a 45 colt. They...

    9mm in a 38?

Good to know, I would not go out of my way to buy 9mm bullets for the 38 but good to know it is possible without hurting anything.

    9mm in a 38?

I wasn't thinking about crimp grove. I bought a couple thousand of 125 CCRN from Rainier in 38 spec. early last year and I haven't been crimping in a grove so when I spilled my 9mm bullets and they looked the same I started thinking. I will just keep loading the correct bullets for the correct...

    9mm in a 38?

So the leading would be caused by the bullet slop as it travels down the barrel? What about Copper coated or FMJ bullets? Accuracy must fall fast as it would not get the propper spin. The bullet manufactures must work in tenthousands. I have no means of measuring that. Thank you for the reply. rj
