Good to know it wasn't a totally insane idea. Anyone with a good reloading book know what the power load should be reduced to?

    Ballistic Tip milserp 762x54R

I have a pretty sweet shooting Mosin 91/30 and ton of milserp 762x54R. I want to start hunting with it and while I know there some decent 7.62 SP's out there They are pretty $$ and usually alot heaver then my 147gr training ammo so I'm assuming the ballistics should be pretty different. RG .22 Magnum Derringer

By the way does anyone know if it would be able to fire .22 lr as well? And also what ammo do you think is best for the Magnum. Sense the barrel is so short I'm guessing I'm not gonna get any crazy velocities so I'd think the heavier round the better, but i cant find anything above 40 gr.

And yes, of course I know about the legal issues, I have a concealed carry permit and I've been toting my xd around for quite some time. Like i said it's just a back up or something...

    RG .22 Magnum Derringer

I was looking around for a cheap pocket gun to supplement my xd compact and found this little over/under darringer for $130 and just kinda bought it out of impulse. It looks pretty old but and the safety is clearly broken but it is single action with a pretty stiff hammer so I think it should be...

    Newbie needs help

I have zero knowledge of reloading but I was thinking of getting into it to make practice with my .40 xd sub (ccw weapon) alot more affordable, as well as a nice hobby to have. I don't need any to get into anything crazy to produce insane accuracy because I'll be shooting form less then 25 feet...
