My reaxon is there is no reason to top off. My G37 with 10 rounds is more than plenty. My XD9 has enough with 16. I just load and go. No extra step needed. Thats 30% more ammo than a 1911 in my main carry gun so one upping will still have less rounds in the 1911 than my choice of carry gun...
