Thanks, I agonized a little on the Modifications, But its still pretty true to its original, Just the sight mount which was very well done. I used a vintage weaver K4 because it looked the part for a vintage rifle and the old weaver is near as tough as the Finn. The rifle is far more capable in...
Im certainly happy with it, They hold matches locally once a month in my area. I think I will give the Garand and 03' fellas a run for their money with this old Finnish war horse :D
1941 vkt m39
Here is some target photos from my first range trip with the refit VKT. Fired 20 rounds for a warmup at milk jugs and such. Then fired these for zero. It actually does better with the Yugo surplus than some Norma Match ammo. :) All fired @100yds
Top photo was Milsurp east bloc mix...
My Mosin VKT M39
Found this a few months ago , It was pretty rough when I got it. Even though the numbers all matched, It was Import marked, the stock was crappy, finish was gone and headspace was all whacked but, it was a Finn M39 so I took a chance and got it.
Looking around on the Internet...
Thanks, I had the new parts from numrich saved but I wanted to be sure before I started poking around. Did you know that the 1908 extractor spring is air soluble? :) I've lost two now that disappear on contact with the open air. Haven't lost the extractor though, thanks heavens.
I appreciate...
I have a nice 1908 shooter grade thats developed an odd problem. It wants to shake out the extractor pin( #10 on the parts diagram) causing the extractor and the spring to fall out after 10 rounds or so. Should this be staked in or is it an interference fit? or is mine worn and need replaced...
You tube worked
Watched a SigP238 tear down, it was close enuff to work for me. I really like this pistol the more i learn about it the more I like it. Parts are a little tough but not if your determined, lots of stuff still out there. Numrich and Jackfirst are good sources. Found an awesome...
I've heard mags from the Sig Sauer P6/P225 can be modified to work on the Star BM/BKS.
Any one know about this particular modification? I saw this but couldn't get any details. http://www.gunbroker.com/Auction/ViewItem.aspx?Item=209455267
Quote;[So is an AR15 much worse than a .22? ]
If you dont know the difference between .223 and .22, I'd go out on a limb and say no, your not ready. How about a S&W M&P 1522? Looks like an AR but in .22 cal.
Info needed
Anybody got a link or manual of how to totally disassemble/ re-assemble a Colt Govt 380? Field stripping I pretty well have But Im wanting to replace sear, hammer spring and trigger.
