Replacement baseplate for Walther P22 magazines

Does anyone sell replacement baseplates for Walther P22 magazines? I am looking to replace the flat baseplate on some of my magazines. I can't fathom why they made magazines without the pinky extension on a gun that IMO isn't close to being fit for carry. It would be nice if it came with both so...

SA V12 1911, hammer follow, cause and solution?

Sear, sear spring, hammer hooks, disconnector. 1. Worn (or botched trigger job) sear slipping off the hammer hooks. Is the trigger very light? This would hint towards inadequate hammer/sear engagement. (Replace sear, maybe hammer, gunsmith job) 2. Sear spring not applying enough pressure to...

    SWAT raid goes well....

That would cost money in the form of man hours. The suspects life wasn't worth it, apparently the 2 year old's life was.

How long will the police keep my weapon?

buzz_knox, thank you for the correction. This is the guy I was talking about. I definitely wouldn't invest a lot of money in a carry piece. Probably a Ruger auto or Revolver, mabye S&W if I get a good deal. Might carry a used beat to hell Sig if I could find one I liked.

How long will the police keep my weapon?

It really depends where you are. One person on Sig forum had every gun he owned confiscated and they probably (been a year by now, he was never charged or tried) will never be given back to him. That was in PA. He didn't even shoot anyone, he brandished at a guy threatening him with a knife I...

Man who tazes officers is charged with attempted murder

There is no evidence that the flashlight was a mag light. For all we know it was a surefire nitrolon. I don't know about you, but I don't see many cops packing mag lights on their belt, not with the radio, gun, mags, tazer, cuffs, + other accessories. No room, and too heavy.

Man who tazes officers is charged with attempted murder

On the one hand we have police officers touting tazers as the perfect non-lethal compliance tool that exists somewhere in the use of force continuum well below a firearm. On the other hand we have them charging people who attempt to taze them back with attempted second-degree murder. Well which...

Students to receive payments in drug raid settlement

Deanimator, the seems similar to gun control and might not very productive. It would punish the wrong people, and could have unintended consequences. I think it would be impossible to fairly and lawfully pursue such a policy without crippling whole departments both financially and functionally...

Students to receive payments in drug raid settlement

Good cops don't assault people at random. Good cops don't charge people when they know it won't stick because they personally disapprove of a specific sort of behavior. Good cops know the law in their state because they don't want to hurt innocent people. Good cops will be exonerated by the...

    QUESTIONS ON S&W 1911 MODELS

I bought a blued model, had some initial problems that three trips back to the factory fixed. S&W paid shipping both ways and gave me a free mag each time. Gun shoots very well, I dropped in a Colt grip safety and hammer and the parts fit without adjustment. I think the S&W 1911s are the best...

Students to receive payments in drug raid settlement

Doing their job? Of course they should be to afraid to do these things, it's not their job, it's what they personally want to do. They should be held personally responsible. Of course the police should be afraid to attack people who have committed no crime!

Students to receive payments in drug raid settlement

I know I sound like a broken record Why aren't those officers in jail, their lives ruined? They are going to keep doing it if they can get away with it, there has to be a penalty for the men on the ground. They need to be too scared to even try this type of thing. Incumbent advantage? Who...

    "Shall Issue" Inconsistency

Not in MA, they will deny for any reason or no reason at all. Can't speak for the specific language in other states, but they also seems to do it regularly in California, NY, and NJ.

Sellier & Bellot .45ACP FMJ, copper washed or true FMJ

Interesting, usually when I see steel shot the bullet breaks apart into a bunch of different pieces, kinda just explodes with most pieces not going very far. This is with .45 in a 5i nch 1911

Sellier & Bellot .45ACP FMJ, copper washed or true FMJ

I believe (and don't quote me on this) that WWB and CCI Blazer are plated with a very thin coate of copper to keep the gun clean of lead, but aren't really FMJ, the base of the bullet is still open, and the jacket is not thick enough to aid in keeping the lead together for penetrating harder...

    hand protection when using Breakfree-CLP?

Shocking... Nitrile gloves. They never wear out. You do not want to clean guns without gloves. Supposedly the solvents will open up your skin and allow the lead and junk you're cleaning to get into your body. Lead is bad.

Sellier & Bellot .45ACP FMJ, copper washed or true FMJ

I have a CZ-97B that won't feed hollow points so I am looking for a decent FMJ standard velocity load. I normally practice with WWB and CCI Blazer, but those are only copper washed from what I understand. Would S&B be a good choice for FMJ ammunition? Is the bullet fully jacketed (base is...
