If you want something really big, then I'd go with a dedicated room too. They just take a little more planning since you need to factor in fire, flood, theft, humidity, and whatever else it takes to make it at as durable as a safe.
I really like the VZ 2008. Dare I say more than an AK...
The downfall with it though is the folding, wire stock. If you can put a wood stock on it or something else aftermarket, then you'll be good to go.
Here a good video review on the rifle...
Well, I'm unloading a few safe queens to fund bigger and better things and I'm stuck on few prices. The first one is for a Browning Model 42. The gun is in excellent shape and from what i can tell, its never been fired. You can still see the factory white lithium grease in the action.
I've...
I was going to post a thread asking the same question.
A Tok is next on my list (C&R should be here any day now), but all of the surplus is sold out. Any news on when the next ship load will hit our shores?
I agree, it looks like a type 99.
I have a type 99 that my grandfather brought back from WW 2. It may not be the most expensive gun or nicest gun i have, but it means the most to me.
FAS 1 (post #11)
i'm getting ready to give my HD guns a make over and i think your product will work well for what i'm trying to do. I think 2 of your handgun safes will work very well for my set up
i had a great link for a side mount scope mount that attaches to the receiver, but i cant find it.:banghead:
thanks for asking the question, this is on my gun "to do list"
I specifically remember the cylinder only rotates in one direction as you described. I also did some looking around on line for a price and $150 seemed a bit much. i guess we'll see how well my negotiating skills are!
Thanks for all the info old fuff. It goes with out saying that guns of this vintage are not my strong point, but the appearance and design of the old revolvers are growing on me.
In the grand scheme of things it's only a $150 gamble on whether its shootable or not. If i do buy the gun i'll...
You can make them from purple heart fairly easy. i did it on my wifes SP101 and they turned out great! I just popped off the factory grip inserts, scribed them on the purple wood, cut them out, and formed / finished them off with sand paper. then put a clear finish on them and your done. its...
I'm pretty sure it was 38 SC, but i was looking at a couple of old guns that day so maybe i wrote down the numbers wrong.
If the gun is black powder only, does this more or less mean its a "wall hanger"? I would think this isnt something you could shoot, let alone buy ammo for.
Hey guys,
i was in the gun shop the other day and noticed an Iver Johnson safety automatic (38 short colt) sitting in the case for $150. The tag claims that the gun is for show and shouldn't be shot, but after questioning the owner they said they put that on there since it hasn't been looked...
i had it happen to me last year. i know how you feel...it sucks. Since i dont have the time to set aside to practice with my bow to ensure this wont happen again, i dropped the cash on a cross bow with a red dot sitting on top. problem solved for me!
