    M1+Tannerite=...

Can't believe this stuff hasn't been outlawed by now. Don't get me wrong, I've had fun playing with this myself. It's just that with all the hysteria about guns, terrorists, and such that it would seem that some lawmaker trying to make a name for him/her self, would have jumped right on it.

    Marlin .444

I don't believe firing a 44 Mag cartridge in a 444 rifle would be dangerous or would cause any harm. The 444 case is really nothing more than an elongated 44 Mag case when you compare the two. The bullet diameters are the same, and it shouldn't be all that different than firing 38 Specials in a...

    Marlin 480

Well it's a shame they couldn't get it to work in that action, if that was the trouble. For myself, it would have made a better rifle if they had made it up in the 1894 action which is designed to handle the shorter pistol caliber cartridges, even if they would have limited it to the lower...

    My Marlin Stinks!

Sounds like what you are experiencing is the "Dreaded Marlin Jam" well known to Cowboy Action Shooters using these rifles. Seems to be the fault of the carrier. either not being properly dimensioned/adjusted in new rifles, or as a result of wear on older, much used guns. I've had excellent...

    Lever-action .357 carbine: a good defensive arm?

Not only is the Marlin 357 carbine a good choice for a defensive weapon, it's also a great hunting, plinking, and competion rifle. I've owned one since the mid 70's and have put thousands of cast bullet loads through it in CAS matches, and have put much venison on the table with jacketed bullet...

    Marlin 480

Does anyone have any info on the Marlin 336 in 480 Ruger that they were listing as a new chambering a few short months back? I was hoping they would bring it out in the Guide gun configuration at some point, but I don't see that caliber listed on their site any longer  Ron
