So what's the bottom line on a Mosin as far as accuracy and price? I can get a Remington 700 for $350, just add a scope and you're looking at 1.5 inch accuracy at 100 yards. With the Mosin, you need what? Bolt handle turned down, scope mount, trigger work, and a new stock? Which costs how...

I've been thinking of one, too, but a friend of mine spent a couple hundred bucks on one and still couldn't get it to shoot very well. Maybe his bedding job or muzzle crowning was bad, I dunno. He's set it aside for now.
