I've hunted the northern zone for many years. ....lots of lever guns are used since shots of more than 60-70 yards are somewhat rare. Deer are much bigger in the northern zone. Anyway, I used a 35 rem lever for a few years but I never liked lever guns much.... ....any bolt action deer...

...yeh, I had a semi-auto 22 that was not accurate at all..... finally, I sold it and never looked back. Buy the time you put a new barrel on this it may cost more than another gun, so maybe you should cut your losses. Is a Remington warranty valid if you were not the orginal owner?
