I took my new STI Spartan out twice this week, ran 150 rounds of magtech 230grain FMJ and another 125 or so Winchester White box 230 grain FMJ. At 21 feet the gun has no problems punching 1inch holes with all 8 rounds and when we shot it at 50 feet the groups only opened up to about 1 ½ inches...

The ribber grips on my model 627 started to "shed" after about 9 months. Little pieces brake off every so often now. Damn Arizona heat probably didnt help. I have tried to find replacement grips but all I have found is more people asking the same question.
