Okay, now that's a creative idea.

    Loading handgun shotshells?

Thanks for thoughtful reply! Sorry for delay in my response. I'm on the road and don't get online often. Also, I'm only just now getting back into shooting after a long, unfortunately urban existence. I think my box of Speer .44 shotshells is over 20 yrs old! Thanks, too for the caveat...

duck hunting decoys..... near death experience

Love the guy on his punt sled! Does he go sliding backward with the recoil? Just for laughs, here's the closest I got to a punt gun -- a prop we had made up for the movie Tremors 4. It actually fired 12 ga blackpowder blanks.

    Loading handgun shotshells?

Hi, forgive my noob-ness. I'm not sure where to post this and didn't want to clutter up the various calibre/gun specific reloading threads with this oddball query. Does anyone out there reload handgun shotshells? I periodically dispatch pack rats with 44 mag shot. Not sporting, but quick and...

So, the flash capture struggle goes on! Guess that's why there's now a cottage industry in Hollywood adding computer-generated muzzle flashes, especially to full auto guns. You can stand on the set and be darn near blinded as an actor blazes away, firing blanks sometimes laced with magnesium...

do you own a overkill rifle?

Well, if we talk target, rather than game, and the target is a water-filled sealed paint can, my .44 mag Ruger Blackhawk blows the lid way higher than my .22 Ruger Single Six. So the Blackhawk seems about right. I'm still working on justifying my 458 Win Mag.

Thanks -- probably seems like a dumb question these days. Way back in the 60s when I started shooting black powder, catching the muzzle flash on film wasn't easy. Even on 8mm movie film, the gun would often go off between film frames. I came up with using a still camera at dusk, set to take a...

Hey, just joined THR. Great shot of Walker blast! Did you use video? Slow camera shutter? Luck?

Hi, all. My replica Walker was among my very first handgun purchases (about a zillion years ago). I lean toward big bore anything, so it seemed logical. It got stored apart from me for many years, but has now come home. Itching to get out and try it again!

New Member? Introduce yourself here (just intros, questions get answered elsewhere)

Hi, everyone. I was introduced to THR by author Larry Correia (Monster Hunter). I've not done as much actual shooting as I'd like over the last number of years, but hope to change that. While not shooting, I've at least been writing guns into screenplays. I co-wrote the movie Tremors, and...
