    Browning Model 92 in .44Mag

I've shot my B92 in many SASS matches and have never had any problems. My load is a lead SWC 240 gr .44 Special, and it feeds flawlessly and is quite accurate. I've tried cycling the short red plastic with brass head snap caps through the rifle w/o a hitch. I wouldn't be surprised if it could...

    469 Trigger Pull

    Good advice. Thanks.

    469 Trigger Pull

I have a great little 469 and a recently acquired 4513TSW. Both are double action for the first shot and single action thereafter. The 469 has a combination safety/decocker lever which stays down after dropping the hammer, while the 4513's lever drops the hammer and returns to the fire position...

    4513TSW Grips

Thanks for the replies. It looks like they will work with a bit of trimming. :)

    4513TSW Grips

I have an early pistol with the six round magazine. I really like the gun, but I wish it had a curved backstrap like my older 469. Does S&W or anyone offer alternative grips for the 4513TSW?

    7 vs 6 round magazine for compact S&W .45s

That definitely answers my question. Thanks.:)

    7 vs 6 round magazine for compact S&W .45s

I have a TSW 4513 that came with two six round magazines. I see that seven round mags are available for it. Will these fit my pistol? Are they the same length? Thanks.

What magazines will fit in a S&W 4513TSW?

Thanks for the very thorough answer. I have a 745 with the 8-round mags having the orange followers. The slot for the magazine catch doesn't line up correctly for my 4513. Perhaps the later ones will.

What magazines will fit in a S&W 4513TSW?

I have a 4513 with only two 6-round mags. I'd like to pick up a couple more, but I'm finding that they and the 7-round mags are hard to find. I know that 645/745 mags won't work, but I'm thinking that those for a 4506 will (longer but workable). Is that correct? Any others that will work? Thanks

Adjustable rear sight for a 745

It looks like the sight assembly with the adjusting screwdriver. Thanks.

Adjustable rear sight for a 745

I've got one with the fixed Novak rear sight that I'd like to use for NRA bullseye competition. I wish to fit an adjustable sight, which would be better for that purpose. I've checked Brownell's and Gun Parts Corp, and I've tried a few Google searches, but without success. Does anyone know of a...

    Keltec p11

A 12 round magazine from my S&W 469 works fine in my P11. It's about a 1/2" longer, though. In fact, the finger extension from the 469 mag fits Kel-Tec 10 round mag. I personally don't find the trigger pull on the P11 to be much different than those on my S&W 469 or 4513 pistols. Perhaps I got...

    S&W 469 decocker mod

If I were to make this modification, the safety would function in exactly the same way as on the single action S&W Model 745 IPSC competition gun. The hammer wouldn't be locked, but the firing pin would be totally blocked, and the trigger would be disconnected. Since I have a 745, I'm already...

    S&W 469 decocker mod

I field stripped the gun and took a close look at the the two levers on the right side of the hammer, and I was able to identify the one that drops the hammer. It looks like removing this lever would require using a shim to replace it. Of course I could grind it down so it won't trip the hammer...

    S&W 469 decocker mod

Does anyone know how to modify this pistol so the hammer won't drop when you put the safety on? I've already eliminated the magazine safety, and I'd like the option of carrying it cocked & locked as well. Thanks.

    Double guns - 26" or 28" barrels?

I like no more than 26" on repeaters. On a double, no less than 28" . +1

16 ga. Why or why not

If built on an appropriate sized frame, the 16 gauge is a delight. I have a Winchester Model 12, which has a 20 gauge action, and a 1915 L.C. Smith, which has a 16 gauge frame. Both handle more like 20s than 12s, and they are a delight in the field. One could argue that a 20 gauge would serve...

    Winchester 1897

An easy way to check is to use a chamber length gauge. The homemade one I mentioned above works as well as any. I learned about it from a gunsmith. Be sure to check with the barrel in the gun. That being said, I have also read that back in the paper hull days, chambers were cut a bit short to...
