    i'm with walkalong on this when my close range vision was younger i did not use glass on my short range guns as for my handguns the ones i can find them for i use tru glow sights they are still slightly blurry but lining up red and green works just fine for these close range encounter guns

    i have a gp100 in SS with 6" full lug with williams firesights added (old age thing) love this gun a little large for a ccw. but i deal with that, its extra weight may help keep the barrel down, if he is not a real experinced shooter i am not biased on mfg i love all handguns
