    Winchester Carbine Things "heard" and "understood" with no provable source are considered rumors. Here is an all Winchester Carbine that is great. It went through upgrade adding the revised parts (sight, safety, bayo lug, etc.) No "cobb" on this one. Post wouldn't allow the pic.

    DPMS or Bushmaster

    In the past I've owned a Bushmaster and five Colts. Now I own one Colt and a just purchased DPMS. The DPMS runs perfectly, the fit and finish is just as good as any Colt I have owned and the trigger pull is better. Needless to say, it cost a heck of a lot less.

    I purchased the DPMS for a knock around gun that will spend most of the time in the truck. I had a Bushmaster that was a great rifle and my two Colts are really great.
