    1911 prices?

Since they are rarer they seem to get more for them. How much can you spend?

Thin the herd/Reduce the Collection ?

I have regretted selling some guns for sure. I have also done very well in trading up to get guns I really want. Just be careful, do not sacrifice to much. Other opportunities await on down the road.

Go to your local gunshop/sporting goods store and purchase a "gun cleaning kit". Walmart has them also, and is the better deal.

What makes some 1911s so expensive?

They get shot every day accross this great land, and the people that own them run them hard sometimes. Why does this pistol still exist? Why do people pay big bucks for the hand fit ones? Certainly not as others assume, to just sit in the safe? The people that own them shoot them!

What makes some 1911s so expensive?

I will have to disagree. True I have never got my gun in a mud hole, but tight ones work as good if not better than loose ones I believe. I will bet that the people who usualy say this do not own a custom fit one, and assume. That is just my opinion, but believe it to be true.

    9 mm WWB available

Perhaps it will help younger folks looking for ammo not to pay the rediculous price. Someone may say, hey, they actually have 9mm at such a place. By reading this thread, then they will know they are paying way to high a price. It was a good post for the times.

    1911 question

You are recomending a pistol that rarely jams vs a 1911? 1911's with tuned extractors and quality magazines and ammo can and do run flawlessly.

    Glock 26 & 27 WHY????

Concealment. The short grip hides much better than the full grip of the 19/23. I believe the 26 to be among the most accurate of the Glocks, and you shoot it by curling you pinky under the grip. It is my favorite glock by far.

    Cleaning a 1911?

I use to dread cleaning my guns. It always takes me 10 times longer than what other people say their time cleaning is. I put it off for 500 or even more rounds. My guns were filthy when it was time to clean them. So in a attempt to cut cleaning time I started cleaning every 200 rounds. It...

Let's talk about pistol cleaners and lube!

It will not protect it from rust. At least that is the information on M-pro7's website in their faqs page. I haven't had any rust from using it, but after reading the faqs I put a little oil in the bore when I am done. The #9 is alcohol based where the Hoppes is bio-degradable. It does...

    45 ACP Pratice Ammo

Dick's carry UMC also, but it may sell out fast. I used to like it for the same reasons, but my last batch I bought had really bad crimping. A round or 2 set back while trying to chamber a round.
