    Brushwolf, 1st just try lubricating the internals, this may solve the problem. If this doesn't help, it sounds like you may have a problem with either the 'cam' on the base of the hammer or the 'cylinder bolt' ear that engages that cam. Most likely it is a worn or damaged 'ear' on the cylinder...
