ok... i'll make this simple.... .38spl is the same exact cartradge as a .375 Magnum..... the only differnce is that the .357Mag has more poweder in the casing and thus has a higher muzzle velocity, and power.... not to mention that you can also get heavier bullets for .357Mag vs. .38spl...

Well said..... I will be carrying a 1911 and figure that the best place to put an extra mag will be in a knife (buck knife (folding blade)) holder... you know... the black leather one.... that way I can carry it out in the open and noone really cares about the knife.... since its really a "work"...

Exactly.... in a carry gun you should be "Cocked and locked" you will most likely not need the extra round, but you will probably not have time to rack the slide and then continue to fire.... remember this also takes both hands... I love my 1911. Cocked and Locked.... you draw, drop the thumb...
