hmm. as a newbie and a texan... let me see if i can help...as a gun person texas is a very "firearm friendly" state regardless of political affiliation. so perry, like him or not, is a non issue ( no flaming please ) texas is one of the strongest states for "castle doctrine" everyone knows...

i also press the trigger on my G17, i have no issues at all with the press or the safetys. one other "tip" i havent seen mentioned is to use the very tip of the finger, so as you arent "curling" finger round the trigger. otherwise, as has been said, i just shoot, dont really think that much...

I had no problems at all getting my C&R, and it was cheaper than paying a transfer fee. just filled the papers, mailed the check, and waited about 4 weeks. i just got mine, and it was pretty painless. plus they now send you books! -G

you can get a C&R pretty cheaply and easily, lots of restrictions, but it helped me aquire my mauser, and the fee (which they return, if for some reason you are denied) was cheaper than paying someone else... -G

i pretty much agree. you have a 9mm, glock no less, g17 no less... yea, the .45 guys have this covered. go to town. any choice that i saw, would be a good one. btw..they aint cheap, but you reload, so nm... yep, what they all said. -G
