    A kudo for RCBS....

I sent a 5-10 scale into their repair shop that was acting funny. When I opened the returned scale, they had upgraded me to a 10-10 with a note saying that they no longer made the 5-10 and they were unable to repair it. Can't beat that with a dead cat!

    Prochrono questions

Oops, 10 feet on the Chrono, not 10 yards, we've had a sick baby the last week and regular sleep hasn't made the agenda. Thanks for all the great ideas! The gas checks would not have been something I would have thought about being an issue, if I use them in the future, I'll be sure to take that...

    Prochrono questions

I just purchased a Prochrono and have enjoyed learning to use it. I've only shot handgun calibers over it so far: 380, 38spl, 40, & 44mag. I've got my chronograph set up at apx. 10 yards out. I'm trying to develop a load for the 380 and 40 so I've shot mild to hot loads of each with various...

    Handgun Shotshell loading

Everyone, thanks for the input! Will the capsules keep the shot from getting "messed up", for lack of a better term, in the rifling and give a better pattern? I was hoping for being able to take shots between 30 and 40 feet. If I'm only gonna get a range of a few feet I'll probably just...

    Handgun Shotshell loading

I am wanting experiment loading up some shot shells for 357 mag and 44 mag. Reading some of the older threads, I have the method planned out. Powder, card, shot, card, good roll crimp, glue or wax to close. The questions I have are about powder. I know I will need a faster powder but...

Dillon Eliminator Vs RCBS 5-0-5 Powder Scales

I had a 505 and eliminator as of last week. Both made by Ohaus, they looked identical, only difference that I could tell was that the RCBS has a ounce to grain conversion table on the side and of course the color difference. I had an old 5-10 scale that was probably older than I am and it...

Buying guns at a gun buyback

I paid $35 for an old beat up single shot .22 a while back and I've been contemplating hauling it down to cash in. Last year, I thought about the same thing but I didn't think I could stand there watching guns worth more than 100 bucks be turned over to be destroyed. This year my economic...

    W540, w296, & sr 7625

Thanks everyone for the advice. Looks like I will be able to pull together some good loads using W540. I'll have a lifetime supply of 44mag powder in w296, I may have to pick up loading for 357mag as well. I'll try to round up some older reloading manuals to see if the numbers are similar to...

    W540, w296, & sr 7625

I've been reloading on and off for 15 years or so using pretty much the same powders and bullets. Recently, I picked up a large assortment of supplies at an estate sale and wanted to get some opinions on how to best put 15 lbs of powder to use. W540 - 7 lbs W296 - 6 lbs SR7625 - 2 1/2 lbs...

    Mailing Primed Brass??

I have been searching for an answer to this for a little while this evening on various places on the internet. Everyone seems to have an answer but not very many people can back it up. Since it seems to me the answer should be very simple to find and wasn't I thought I would post my findings...
