    Anyone carry a Ruger P345

I'm not crazy about the DA/SA nature of the trigger. I really need to take mine out and give it another chance - or sell it.

    Ruger Sheriff 45LC

I admit, I am jealous. After shooting an Uberti cowboy action 45, I very much want a Vaquero 5.5". Very nice gun. Good luck and have fun!

    Glock 19 opinions?

I was never a Glock fan - I didn't like the style at all. Last night I shot a G19 for the first time during a training class, and shot pretty darn well with it. I will consider it for a future purchase.

    Christie vetoes gun ban bills

I'm thrilled that Christie vetoed these bills - they would have been a nightmare for NJ firearms owners, particularly Sweeney's ID card bill. That being said, I've been saying for some time that if Christie did sign them, it would have signalled the end of his presidential aspirations, at...

    M1 Garand or M1 for a grand?

I'm a big fan of the CMP. Be advised, once you start buying them it's hard to stop. You may find you want a special and a service model. They're just so nice and fun. It's also nice to have a .308 M1, even if you can't use it in club shoots. Good luck!

    who loves Ted Nugent?

I've always been a big fan of Ted Nugent's music (since 40 years ago) and also like his position on hunting and firearms. Uncle Ted may be over the top for some people, but he speaks his mind on matters that I also support.

    Ammobroom -- thoughts?

I considered getting one but I need the exercise of bending over to pick up my brass.

Is talking about our guns a good idea with big surveillance govt?

I like this! :) I'm not going to live in fear of what might happen but will continue to stand up for my rights. I appreciate that there are millions of fellow Americans that share my opinion. Thanks to all of you who believe in liberty and freedom! (Didja get that NSA?) :D

Hunting for a Ruger Mini 30

I have newer models of the Mini 14 and a Mini Thirty. I see a lot of compaints about accuracy, but that has not been my experience. My Saiga is not as accurate as my Minis. YMMV To me, they are both super fun and rock solid reliable. In fact, anyone who shoots them, loves them. My Thirty...

Hearing loss from the range trip today?

Nicely put... I'll add, even if you're an old man, USE EAR PROTECTION - EVEN WHEN WORKING WITH POWER TOOLS, LAWN EQUIPMENT, MOTORCYCLES, etc... Unless you want the ringing in your ears like I have... :cuss:

    Ammo Obsession?

Oh, don't I know it! :D About the only reason that I haven't gone into a 9mm pistol is the scarcity and price of ammo.

    Ammo Obsession?

Well... :uhoh: Truth be told, I stocked up well before the "panic" when supplies were plentiful and prices were reasonable. At the time, folks thought I was crazy. :D Lately, I've bought some low quantities at high prices of calibers I needed, or only to replace what is getting used at the...

    Ammo

Last week we were at a gun show where there as ammo a-plenty in all calibers at prices that I would not pay.

    My day at school

When I hear about stories like this I think of the scene from "Back to School" where comedian Sam Kinison is teaching history. Classic. :) I'd post the link but some may find some of the language offensive.

House not backing away from gun control...

Keep writing your representatives on preserving our 2nd Amendment rights. The NRA ILA makes it easy. http://www.nraila.org/get-involved-locally/grassroots/write-your-reps.aspx

NJ Legislators Caught on Open Mic talking CONFISCATION

Living in NJ is pretty challenging for those of us that enjoy firearms. I hope the politicians that made these comments get exposed as the thugs they are.

    School Me on Springfield 1903s

The one I looked at had a leaf sight and if memory serves the serial number was in the 1.4 million range.

    School Me on Springfield 1903s

Today I went to a gun show we visit periodically. Despite the laughably high prices for guns and ammo, it's an excuse to meet my cousin for lunch. I wasn't planning on buying anything today, until I stumbled on two Remington and Springfield 1903s next to each other. They both appeared to...

Ammo Can torture test (Family finds fallout shelter in backyard)

Interesting story. It's pretty cool how well-preserved the contents of the cans were. I gotta admit, that vault would have been opened ASAP after we bought the house. Who wouldn't be curious about it?
