I'm a bitter gun owner and I vote

Interesting takes on the NRA's stickers/signs... In my neighborhood there are six bitter gun owner yard signs, and about 10 McCain signs. Of course, with the exception of one female lawyer, everybody on the street is either current or retired military...:)

HKS Speedloader or Bianchi Speed Strip. Need Advice guys!

Speed strips are the way to go for concealed carry. I would suggest practicing reloading with them at the range, this way you learn how hot the barrel gets! It will also give you practice in maintaining the muzzle down range, which is one of the problems most people encounter when reloading...

    a terminology question (What's a BBQ Gun?)

Here's a true BBQ gun... Friend of mine was a Texas Ranger for years, he had two- A 1911 chromed out with ivory grips, which he wore to BBQs and to court; the other was a Colt snubbie that was his Sunday gun. BBQ guns are real, and have been around since the early days of nickel chrome and...

Stashing Guns through Out The House.

Stashed- Always have, the good ones are in the safe. My kids were trained early on firearms, and taught NOT to brag, show people, etc. I also carry, but for convienience have a couple in stragegic locations to allow me to get to the shotgun or rifle if necessary.

    Intentionally Revealing your CC?

Concealed is concealed- Why give up your edge? I agree with the others, I'd get clear of the situation and if I couldn't I would wait until I have no other option before drawing my weapon. I wouldn't show it at all

    Holding a flashlight

I have used/trained with both the Rogers/Surefire and 3 cell Maglights. Each has it's advantages and disadvantages, but what ever technique you use, you MUST practice in low light or darkness until it becomes second nature... A word of caution with any hands together technique, if there is...

    Quick and amusing Walmart story

Good point Arfin, I hadn't thought of it that way... I got to see but not shoot one a couple of weeks ago (it was in the trunk of the LT's car). He likes it, but it only holds a 10 round mag of .223.

Dumbest thing you heard/saw in a Gun Store or at the range.

Ya just gotta love some of these old boys that know everything... A friend and I were at the range last weekend with our daughters (three girls- mine 24, his 17 and 12), to get them some range time. We were discussing recoil and grip and stance, when one of the know-it-all's stuck his nose in...

Do car dealers in your state ban CCW?

Haven't seen any in Northern Virginia. I carried when I bought my last car, because I wanted to make sure the bucket seat was comfortable with my pistol on.:D

    Met a sniper today

I shoot at Quantico on a regular basis, so I've met some of the real deals when they were sighting in. Most of them were very polite and "shy" about their real qualifications, but when you see USMC issued M-42's that is usually a pretty good clue. There are some pretty dang good older guys...

Military Officers NOT Supporting the Second?

Not really Spartacus, I DID quantify it to folks that I personally knew or interacted with, I did not generalize it. Most of the folks I deal with are 04/E7 and up, and folks that are routinely out on the pointy end as they say. I KNOW there are a bunch of JAG's, Chops, and Admin types that...

    40 reasons to ban guns

This was appearantly on Packing.org for a few days... It's too good not to share and I don't know whom to give credit. 1. Banning guns works, which is why New York, DC, & Chicago cops need guns. 2. Washington DC's low murder rate of 69 per 100,000 is due to strict gun control, and...

Military Officers NOT Supporting the Second?

Just my .02 cents worth here, I'm a member at Quantico Shooting Club and also work with Navy and Marines worldwide on a regular basis; but I would say at least 80-85% of the folks I interact with are PRO 2nd Amendment and many officers and enlisteds that I know do have CCP's if the state they...
