    Range Therapy again

Sunday is my 300 blk with subsonics out to 500. Takes all day to get there, but pinging steel is comical it's therapeutic

    Range therapy

My favorite range therapy involves my 6 bore flintlock. Nothing like sending 2.5 oz of lead down range to make you smile. And the involved loading process helps ease my mind off of any issues

Is your action/war film enjoyment reduced?

Honestly I enjoy the shows and movies more. It's exciting when they get things right! When they are wrong, meh, that's Hollywood. I still get a kick out of the FX show Archer, strangely accurate as to firearm use. Especially the last effect on hearing.

    Just got a new Jaeger!

I do plan on shooting it (assuming its safe). I actually feel bad for old and antique firearms that never get used anymore. Too much like gun hospice. Now I'm not saying it'll be my primary range toy, but I will proudly say that I own no safe queens. I don't plan on polishing the barrel, but I...

    Just got a new Jaeger!

I've yet to remove the breach plug and I'm lucky that the rear screw still locks tight. Also, my hardware store has no 1800's screw bin either... Hmmm

    Just got a new Jaeger!

The barrel needs more than a lapping, I was thinking some evaporust and a wire brush

    Just got a new Jaeger!

Well, I did manage to get that screw in and out while broken. If I could find a period one that'd be great As for the light.... Well it's a big bore so an led flashlight and camera flash had room to work

    Just got a new Jaeger!

I want to keep it as original as possible, but I am also a practical man and would like to use it regularly. So maybe a metal insert and a period correct looking screw. You think conicals can be loaded? The rifling doesn't look right for them.

    Just got a new Jaeger!

Just picked up this jaeger rifle on gunbroker for an absolute steal. The Ad said its was from the mid to late 1800's and I see no reason to doubt that, but please correct me if I am mistaken. The barrel is lightly rusted throughout, but the rifling is strong. It looks like it does one full twist...

    Hardened Arms AR Pistol Review

The Luepold is great but might be over kill. I cant imagine shooting over 100yds with this so irons or a red dot type might be better. As far as the A2 with my hands I actually did notice some heat when I tried the over exagerated "c-clamp" grip you see alot of these days. As long as I wasnt...

    Bowling Pin Gun

My favorite pin wrecker is my 1911. I load up some 255grs. They only push 650-750 fps but hit like a howitzer!

    Hardened Arms AR Pistol Review

Didnt see many reviews for these around so I figured Id post my own. As usual YMMV JMHO ETC.... First off I ordered their 7.5" pistol kit with a stainless barrel (1/7). The kit came with everything, including the sig brace and buffer assembly, minus the BCG and charging handle. The quad rail...

Help me identify this flintlock please!

Its a 12 inch barrel, smooth bore and found from a nice man in Oregon. All it needs is the frizzen hardened or replaced

Help me identify this flintlock please!

Good call on the screws. I wasnt expecting an antique, mostly I want to know for replacement parts

Help me identify this flintlock please!

Picked up this flintlock pistol recently and I do not know much about it. There are no barrel proof marks and only one stamp on the lock so far. What I know so far: Miquelet lock, .62 cal (ish), square pins for barrel and ramrod channel, mostly appears old and surprising light weight wood is...

    Flinklock Pistol Slow Motion

Oh you never do. We kept about 70% on paper. No sights, smooth bore, and a slow lock time really make it hard. I've never had more fun missing the target

    Flinklock Pistol Slow Motion

Took the replica dragoon pistol out to the range with my brother. Despite the rain we had a blast! He is now addicted to black powder. Figured I'd share the slow motion goodness.

    What is your One Caliber

It'd have to be .308, there isnt much my LR308 cant do. Hunting, self defense, 3 gun, and cheapmsurplus ammo oh my!

Rapid fire weekend... In slow motion!
