    Need a hand - Stevens 311 16 gauge barrels?

I am definitely NOT cutting the original barrels, that is why I am looking for replacements. I also wouldn't cut the stock that was on it, so I bought another stock that needed a piece put in (which I did), and cut that one down. We are obviously not talking about a Purdey here, but I still...

    Need a hand - Stevens 311 16 gauge barrels?

Long story short my son (only 8 years old) was given his great-great uncles 16 gauge 311 by my father. He has an 870 youth model now, but can't wait to shoot the double. I found a broken stock local that I am fixing and cutting down to his LOP. I know the boy can't swing 28 inch tubes, but I...

Anyone have some Marlin 24 shooting experience

I had one that I used for cowboy action for a very brief period. I also talked to another person who used one for CA. Mine wouldn't open after firing, and I had to use the manual button to get it to open, making it very slow. I had a good smith work on it, and he just couldn't get it to...

LC Smith fiel grade lower stock "fingers" damaged at receiver?

I bought a 1946 field grade as a shooter and it has one major issue which I knew about going in. The bottom stock "fingers" have been sanded in towards the center of the gun. I am assuming one or both broke and they just sanded them off until they were even and called it a day. Maybe half of the...

Brand New issc MK 22 or Sig 522?

My stock broke the same way, I fixed mine, and have the new replacement they sent me in reserve for when it breaks again (twice already). It is a plinker, if you are looking for more than that you may be dissapointed. Mine starts to FTF when it is dirty. Spray alittle cleaner in the action...

    New ISSC MK22!

Mine functions fine as long as I keep it clean. Once it gets gummed up then it starts to mis-fire. Be careful of the stock, it is possible to break the little pocket that the latch is in. Don't pick it up by the stock. CHAZ

1903-a3 what are your thoughts on this one?

Looks like a "scant" stock to me, not a real pistol grip stock. Am I seeing it wrong? I had one which was a junk yard dog built from parts, and it was a great rifle, very accurate. CHAZ

Has anybody handled, shot, or even seen a Mk22 (22LR SCAR) yet?

I have one, and I like it. The stock is less than stellar, and I broke the latch that holds it open the first day I had it. I contacted the company and they sent me a new one out right away no questions asked, can't beat that. You can fire it fine with the stock folded, and in fact the flip...

    .357 Magnum rifles?

I think Pedersoli makes the Remington rolling block relicas, but you are talking a grand for them. The little timberwolf pumps are expensive too. I found a company makes .357 bolt guns based on the SMLE action, actually pretty cool looking, but alas no importer (that I could find) and the...

.38/.357 200 grain jacket round nose?

Sorry, the 200 grainers I probably have less than a thousand, I have 5k cast lead bullets for the .38 (for practice). When my dad makes bullets he makes bullets. I think the last time he cast he said it was going to be his last. I believe he chewed through over a ton of lead. CHAZ

.38/.357 200 grain jacket round nose?

I can reload .38's right now for the price of primers. I bet I have 5,000 cases, and maybe that many bullets. That and the 4 pounds of powder that I had laying around will load a lot of .38's. I have a Marlin 1894 cowboy comp, and it is .38 special only. I would like to have a rifle that...

.38/.357 200 grain jacket round nose?

I didn't consider the velocity not expanding bullets. If I reamed the barrel to .357 maximum would I still be OK with .38's? CHAZ

.38/.357 200 grain jacket round nose?

What do you think of the possibilty of loading a 200 grain jacketed bullet meant for the .35 Remington into .38 or .357 brass? I think it would almost be better to use the .38 brass as it keeps the overall case length down. These loads would be for a single shot rifle (such as a Pedersoli, or...

    Remington Nylon 66

Mine is the first gun I ever purchased (from my father). You had to deliver a lot of papers to make $75 back then! Anything you need to know about these guns can be found here; http://www.nylonrifles.com/forums/index.php The prices for some of the rarer models are incredible. CHAZ

Odd question, rifle cartridge with case dimensions close to 38 special at the rim??

This is crazy, but I would like to take a small bolt actioned rifle and rebarrel it to 38/357. Are there any actions that I could use without extensive bolt head and extractor modifications? Thanks, CHAZ

    Trap, skeet, or both??

I worked at the PA state shoot for a few years, and it does get intense sometimes. A lot of money, a lot of pressure on some people. I do it for fun, some people do it to break 100 straight and win. One year the 16 yard marathon went 625 birds or something like that before someone missed...
