    Questions about conversion

I already have a 58' remmy that's cap n ball, I'm looking at uberti's 51 navy that's already converted. Loading gate and all. I do carry my remmy in the woods now. I trust it as protection completely, but I've been wanting something in a conversion and uberti sells them already converted. I've...

    Questions about conversion

I know colts have to be disassembled to reload but the conversions have the reloading gate. Sorry I realized I wasn't clear. Looking at Unerti's colt navy conversion model. Also it does have full 6 chambers.

    Questions about conversion

I know it's been awhile since I was on here. Sorry. I'm thinking of buying a navy conversion, but they only come in .38 I plan on getting involved in sass so I like the gun for that. However (I know many will disagree with this) but it's also going to be my carry gun for in the woods...

Anybody actually conceal a black powder revolver/firearm?

There are many threads posted discussing this issue, and many of the members on this forum have said they do or would carry. I myself will when I get my concealed carry permit.

    Old Subject Needs Repeating

I guess I'll take a stab at this, I think it comes down to being comfortable with your weapon. If you shoot a gun enough, you learn it and know it's evey quirk. I'm a mix of modern and old. I trust my Remington 870, and my Remington 1858 the most for home defense. (Wow, I just realized they're...

    Old Subject Needs Repeating

After cleaning my gun, I clear the nipple with a pick. I read on one thread that a toothpick can introduce condensation. Not sure but my nipple wrench came with a brass pick in it. Once clean I put the nipples on the cylinder, and then hold it up to a light. Looking down the front of each...

I'm done with UBERTI / BENELLI USA

Gentleman of the Charcoal, you actually stopped a grizzly with a walker! I know that's off topic of original post, so how bout ya start a thread and tell the full story! I'm sure it's a good one! To op, I agree with gentleman. Though I'm not familiar with colts, it happens quite frequently...

There's been some posts on that most people use cigarette rolling papers. I've tried it once but yet to fire any. I'll try and find the thread about it and post it on here.

    Interested in Reloading

Thanks for the help all. 22 isn't a big deal since it's so cheap anyway, mainly the .380 and the two rifle sizes since they're so expensive. I have one head start, don't know why but I've always saved my brass all these years. Shotgun is cheap for the most part. My biggest interest (although...

    Interested in Reloading

Disclaimer: If any of these questions have already been asked, my most sincere apologies. I recently joined THR, but only "hang out" in the black powder forum, but am interested in broadening my horizon. I find that I'm gaining an interest in reloading, but one of my biggest concerns is...
