It isn't a "starting" load, but not close to book max. I've loaded an almost identical load up to 5.4 grains without issue. You could back a little off on the crimp though to .470-.471" on future loadings, but looks good otherwise.

My .260 is borderline boring to load for. I tried a couple different charges when I started loading for it, but it refused to do anything besides sub-MOA groups at a hundred yards. Makes it a lot easier for me when I'm allowed a few tenths of a grain variance on my powder charges.

All of my firearms have had at least a box of factory ammo ran through them before reloading just to test them out and avoid buying components and dies for a potential lemon in a caliber I might not own again. That's usually the only box I buy, though.
