New turret press under development with 3/4/5/6 configuration turrets

Just to follow up on my problem with the RCBS shell holder. After seeing how the Lee shell holder is made I ordered 3 of the ones I use the most, they came today in the mail and work just fine. So my minor problem is now solved.

New turret press under development with 3/4/5/6 configuration turrets

Tilos the ram on this press does not have a hole for the spring clip like most other single stage presses. The shell holder fits in the ram the same way but the retainer has 2 arms that are above the top of the ram and around the major diameter of the shell holder this keeps the shell holder...

New turret press under development with 3/4/5/6 configuration turrets

The RCBS shell holder is staying in the shell holder retainer and not coming out, that’s not the problem. The problem is there is not enough tension on it to keep it from rotating on top of the ram and getting out of position of the case eject arrow. Good to know that the Lee shell holders...

New turret press under development with 3/4/5/6 configuration turrets

I was still having trouble with the RCBS shell holder moving out of position for the case eject. The RCBS shell holders are pretty smooth and slip around on the ram more than some Hornady that have a more sandblasted finish. Had tried the o-ring under the shell holder retainer and it helped...

New turret press under development with 3/4/5/6 configuration turrets

My press came yesterday, mounted it to one of my benches that had 2 holes that lined up with the base then lubed where needed. Put it back together and cycled some brass around all the stations. The primer drop tube rubs on the press linkage and starts to walk the tube off the nipple, The...

    I can see clearly now

I am 68 now and over the last year and a half had to have my prescription glasses replaced 3 times. The first of May had cataract surgery on my right eye then this Monday for the left eye. I also opted for the Toric lens and had Astigmatism correction for both eyes. Like everyone else I was...

    swager

Take a look at the new Lee ram swage. I got one in last week and tried it on some 6.8 SPC brass that the primer was staked in 3 places. Worked well for me and was easy to set up. Here is a link. https://leeprecision.com/ram-swage.html

    Redding Powder Measures

I first bought the Redding 3BR and it was really good for rifle, but the large chamber made setting up for light pistol charges a pain to get consistency. I purchased the extra pistol metering chamber and that was great for pistol loads, only problem was switching back and forth between the two...

35rem over pressure with less than max loads

Have you checked your powder scale to be sure it is accurate? You may have a charge weight higher than you think.

A fun thread, what weird wildcat do YOU wish was on the market and popular?

While not a weird wildcat my vote would be for the 22K Hornet.

Was thinking about getting a CW9, but might do a Glock 43.

I think you have a training issue you should address about your current natural way you grip the handgun. How you position your thumb so as not to actuate the controls is something you will have to do with practice and muscle memory. In my time with handguns I have found many that fit me...

Was thinking about getting a CW9, but might do a Glock 43.

I can see where some may take issue with the trigger on the Bersa and that is their choice. However I don't have a problem with the trigger myself, if you carry the gun holstered and with proper handling it should not be an issue.

Was thinking about getting a CW9, but might do a Glock 43.

How about taking a look at the Bersa BP9CC. Its a 8+1 single stack 9mm, and is smaller than the Glock 43 except the mag well is longer but it can hold two more round in the mag. They run around $400 in my area and the reviews I have seen are positive.

Round nose FMJ vs. Truncated cone FMJ

I would take a look at the Lehigh Defense Xtreme Penetrator. It looks pretty good in gel testing for a non hollow point design. Here is a link http://www.lehighdefense.com/our-technology/xtreme-penetrator

What's the point of AR-15 pistols?

AR 15 pistols what's the point . The point is this and it is called the second amendment " The right to keep and bare arms shall not be infringed." If you don't like them or see no use for them that is your decision and should end there. They are a legal firearm under our current laws just...
