WA: Federal Way PD Recognizes Open Carry's Legality

Thanks Lonnie! I've been out of the loop for a long time--good to see that others are still fighting. Great work with the FWPD! -pytron

THE MINUTEMEN ARE BEING ATTACKED PHYSICALLY BY ILLEGAL ALIENS, WATCH THE VIDEO

I'm not Biker, but here are some Mexico meth stats: http://www.pbs.org/wgbh/pages/frontline/meth/etc/updmexico.html Took me less than 2 minutes on google. Last time I checked, the DEA was a law enforcement agency.

I was insulted by a Liberal...

I hate to chime in, because I believe this thread is OT too, but I will anyway. I agree with Freddy - TALK TO THE PROFESSOR. If he doesn't know you, it'll be much easier for him to dismiss you. To me, taking up a simple public insult all the way to the head of the school is too much. That...

    Extra round in the chamber?

You are correct that it can be difficult to determine that a round has chambered sometimes. I start with a full magazine, then chamber a round, eject magazine, add cartridge, re-insert magazine. If I somehow failed to chamber the top round out of my full magazine, I would discover it very...

Improvised Plinking Targets, lets hear what you use

From the archive, quoting myself: http://www.thehighroad.org/showthread.php?t=49132 Biodegradable targets: Ice, suspended Fruit, leftovers from grocery store or excess droppings from trees Tortillas Eggs (either left over from Easter or just extras) Candy - leftovers from Easter...

    Trick or Treaters

I carry when out with the kids or when answering the door. No sense in killing the fun by not participating. It's easy enough to create a costume that works for your carry piece or just some heavier clothing since you'll be outside. At home it's simple to conceal with a longer t-shirt...

    Online Fiction

Great read. I'd like to buy a copy if you do end up getting it published. I hate reading books online but I stuck with it because it was so compelling.

    NY Daily News BS

BAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA! That was incredible. I've never seen so much misleading and completely untrue garbage packed into one article. It's worse than a Brady press release!

Anybody have an Arizona NON-Resident Concealed Weapon Permit???

I was thinking about getting a non-res permit until I figured out that the Utah permit was cheaper and easier to get (and allows you to carry in AZ). Look into the Utah permit, it might be what you are looking for. -Pytron

WWHSD? or Why Im getting a Glock 17.

I'm also planning on getting a Glock 17 as a home defense gun for my wife & myself. What attracted me, besides all the things you listed above, is that there are some reasonably priced .22 slide conversions for the 17. Perfect for practicing on the cheap. -Pytron

    GunVault Circular lock at risk?

If you can't get the key back in, tile down the tab on the key. Who cares if your key works anymore? I won't be using my easily subverted U-lock out in public anymore, that's for sure. -Pytron

    GunVault Circular lock at risk?

I was going to post the same question when I found out about this vunerability. I tried the bic trick with one of my bike locks (not a Kryptonite), it does work. Took me about 5 minutes to pop it open. My other U-lock has a slightly smaller cylinder and I was unable to get it to pop...

any one in here have airsoft guns?

I've got a spring loaded P99 clone. Handy for target practice inside the house. Good also for role-playing self-defense situations. Hurts just enough that you don't want to get hit. They are not real accurate, they are not all that like real guns, but they have their uses. -Pytron

Getting a gun safe or are there other alternative options?

Feedthehogs said: If you don't mind me asking, what recommendations did they give you? Be general if you don't want to give out specifics. I have been pondering this problem of hollow-sounding areas and I haven't come up with anything good. I have a number of spots that would be good for...

    Re: Safes....combo or electronic lock???

I'm not sure but I assume it is a brand-name like Kleenex. The locks I refer to are the mechanical 5 push-button models. Very popular on college campuses for doorways, but also found on occassional gun safes. Extremely easy to defeat in a brute force manner if you have a little time. -Pytron

    Re: Safes....combo or electronic lock???

I'll chime in on this, as I have other threads. I'm biased as I have a GunVault Multivault deluxe. I got it because I have kids. Regular simplex locks can be easily defeated by kids (probably 8 yrs and older) via a brute force method with lots of time (just search the internet for "cracking...

Email from good friend RE AW ban

I couldn't tell if you were talking about the orignal posters' friend or mine, but I'll respond as if you were talking to me. Very, very true. I tend to avoid this line though because it distracts from my main argument: self-defense as a right. The beauty of that reasoning is that is has...
