Carrying Gun in Guitar Gig Bag for Motorcycle

My little sportbike is an everyday commuter to college and back and I always have a backpack on. I guess the dynamics of a backpack filled with books and a laptop would be different than a shotgun in a fall. I guess I'll take my car or have a friend carry the gun for me for the time being...

Carrying Gun in Guitar Gig Bag for Motorcycle

I'm about a week away from getting it at my local trap and skeet club. And it will come in a take-down case. It's a little harder since I ride a sportbike, a Kawasaki Ninja 250R. What should I use?

Carrying Gun in Guitar Gig Bag for Motorcycle

What are the implications of the gun shifting inside the bag? What is recommend to line the bag to prevent such a thing from happening. The gun does come disassembled in a hard case with all the accessories. Are there any ways I can get this thing strapped on my back? Perhaps a large backpack...

Has your gun ever been ridiculed? let's hear it

After reading quite a bit of this thread, I know not to mess with people with cheap shotguns when my Beretta AL 391 Teknys comes in. On the other hand, I hope to smoke some Perazzi shooters in competitions.

What did you guys get for Black Friday?

I got 12 12-gauge 100-packs for $18 each at Walmart. I got 10 boxes of various rifle and pistol ammunition at Sports Authority for buy one and get one half off. My buddy got a bunch of airport-legal cases on sale at Walmart for the shooting team.

What is the last gun that you bought?

Beretta AL 391 Teknys Gold Target. Thing is worth more than my car and costs almost as much as my shotgun. Using this for collegiate competition and I can't blame my equipment now.

Carrying Gun in Guitar Gig Bag for Motorcycle

I joined the trap and skeet team at my university and I just bought a Beretta Teknys Gold Target, and I really want to continue to take my motorcycle to the range for practice every week. I ride a sportbike, so I don't have the option of having large bags like those of your who ride large...

A bag by any other name...still can hold a gun

I can understand that some cops know what it's for if they frequent the local army and navy store. But seriously? Should it be an issue even if you had a gun providing you are legally concealing?

Who has the >LEAST< respected name in guns?

Quite a few large companies have sold out. Just about anything you get gun-related from Walmart has Winchester on it, and Sig has made some pretty bad guns lately, at least compared to their main line of pistols. Not to mention their $150 cheap red dot sight, probably made in China with a Sig...

wife's perspective on what to take if we need to leave home

Have an extra hard drive or even an online file storage system to back up all your pictures and any important files. But remember that hard drives can crash from abuse and online backup takes like a week of your computer plugged into the internet to transfer everything from your hard drive. That...

Fiance wants gun but slide problems...

I've seen some pretty nice trigger jobs done to S&W revolvers. It won't be cheap, but that might be an option you're looking for.

It's taken 10 years, but I've finally convinced the wife on home defense

I second the Butler Creek Steel Lips. It has never failed on me and I keep it loaded in my 10/22. Just basically anything based on the Eaton mags with steel feeding lips should probably be good.

What is the lowest caliber you will carry

I will go with a 9mm, probably with +P hollow points, as soon as I'm old enough. I don't think I will go any smaller with 9mm.

    break in period

I don't know, I have heard of that for sniper rifles for the first 50 rounds and I believe some serious, serious benchrest shooters were talking about that as well at the gun range a few months ago.

New Member? Introduce yourself here (just intros, questions get answered elsewhere)

Hello, I'm not sure if I introduced myself, yet. I'm a college student, and currently a proud owner of a Ruger 10/22 and more recently a 1930 Mosin Nagant and a Polish milled Receiver AK.

Bad place to buy guns in Houston

The big sporting goods stores and Walmart have those policies from people who know nothing about guns, but usually they sell guns that you probably already have. I wouldn't even have to look at the gun if I wanted another 10/22 from Walmart. It's nice when stores let you handle their guns. The...

Just got second rifle, Mosin Nagant 91/30

Haha, I just watched Enemy at the Gates and I actually perfectly understand what you mean. caribou, the receiver is an octagon shaped receiver. The rifle is in very good condition besides the cosmoline. No very obvious damage at least. I was worried about getting ripped off since people talk...

Just got second rifle, Mosin Nagant 91/30

Just got a very nice condition at the gun store. Came with a sword bayonet, sling, cleaning kit, and some vintage leather ammo pouches that fit on the belt. I will have to buy ammo later at a gun show, I guess. I'm just looking up the markings and it seems to be the from Izhvesk factory. The...
