I'm more of a science & computer nerd than outdoorsy. Also female, so I don't fit the stereotype. I do dress a bit nicer for rallies - at least as nice as I can and still be comfortable for the weather.
At gun shows, I tend to dress as I normally do. It used to get me suspicious looks, but...
I vote 2A. I'm also in a union. Our union seems to be as much for the convenience of our employer as it is for the members. Our contracts are fairly neutral in terms of who benefits more. I do like my union, because it can step in to make sure that the contract is followed properly.
I'm thinking that calibers other than .223 will come back this spring. Even after we defeat the bans, the .223 demand will be crazy because of how many ARs have been sold.
I dunno. If I find a nice 22 at a decent price, I'd snatch it up. They are great teaching tools, and demand for Basic Pistol training is on the rise. Ammo is scarce and/or expensive right now, but I think that will change for 22lr before it changes for other calibers.
I will be there, up front with the rest of the gals. Fortunately, I was able to get a vacation day.
I attended last year as my first time. It was a powerful experience to be with so many others, exercising our 1st Amendment Rights in support of our 2nd.
I'll be picking mine up in a few days after the wait period is over. I like that the trigger pull is long, but not as long as the Rugers I've tried.
After I get it broken in, I'll only use it for training and carry. I don't see it as a range gun.
ILLINOIS folks, there is an URGENT update to the sneaky stuff in Springfield today...
*UPDATE* from posting on Illinoiscarry.com about an hour ago: (It was all caps in the posting, sorry...)
"WE HAVE RAISED SUCH A RUCKUS WITH 2899 THAT THEY ARE WRITING AMENDMENT #2 BEFORE THE COMMITTEE MEETING...
I think we need to demand our place at the proverbial table. And it wouldn't hurt if we could convince Suzanna Hupp and Kathy Jackson to help speak for us.
I adore my CZ75B. It took a few hundred rounds for the trigger to feel good, though. Now it shoots like a dream. Nice and heavy, so very little recoil.
I also got the Kadet adapter. It's been great for teaching new shooters because then it is the same grip and trigger when I step them up to...
I use W231 for my 45s, but I have to load it around 5.6 with a 230gr jacketed or 5.9 with 200gr lead RNFP in order to get it to cycle. I was nervous going above 5.6 until I checked the Lyman books. The FNP45 has a very strong spring to it.
The FNP45 will feed and shoot my favorite 1911 loads...
Now that the thread is hidden, it doesn't get the new views and new posts. Sad, really. I joined THR to be able to see all of those pictures. I got great ideas from it.
It was a great turnout. My first year to go, so I can't compare myself. But the organizers said it was the biggest so far! It was pretty windy, but otherwise the weather was great.
I was marching near the front. When we got to the steps I looked back and simply could not believe how many people...
